TURBO ENGINE SWAP HELP!!!

Alright know im doing this the wrong way but I currently have a Legacy TSR with a stock NA Ej20. I wanna swap in a twin turbo EJ20 and I wanna know if everything is gonna bolt in and if I need the new twin turbo EJ20 ECU and if it will plug straight into my car. I would buy  GT, however, there are none that suit my needs and would rather swap in a new engine also will everything such as transmission and front diff need to be new and all that good stuff. Welcome to the forum. Have to be honest here this is a really bad idea. Literally everything will need swapping over. If you absolutely must convert it a single turbo forested or wrx engine would be 10x easier.

Yeah doing an engine swap just to have the fundamentally somewhat flawed TT motor is not a great idea.

 

But seriously, just buy a turbo one. By the time you do the work you will be in to it for maybe double the cost of a turbo one, and have something worth less than a turbo one.

 

To answer the question; to do it properly you would need:

-Fuel pump

-Exhaust

-Long motor and ALL the bits that hangs off it.

-ECU

-Quite possibly a huge amount of wiring work, or a loom swap

-Probably a gearbox

-Driveshaft (for cert purposes)

-Probably at the very least front brakes (again for cert purposes)

-A cert

you would need a complete turbo car to swap basically 90% of the car over to it. Stripping down to the shell in most areas. Subframes out, fuel tanks swapped on some models.  

 

Basically 

 

$1000-3000 to get all the parts 

100+ man hours to strip and reassemble 2 cars

 

 

Saw a tidy factory bg5 turbo on facebook for $1500 reg n wof  save yourself the hassle.
