FM-Bluetooth stereo adapters - how well do thy work?

Have just bought a 2006 Legacy (separate thread coming) And it has the stock JDM headunit (CD+MiniDisc+FM Radio) Don't think it even has a band expander in it yet.

But as a temporary measure before I go down the double DIN headunit upgrade option which I've looked at, how well do the plug in style FM adapters work?

I've tried one years ago and it was 'ok' but wondered if new ones are any better, or if Legacys have something weird that stops them working well etc.?

Few examples to what I've looked at

Is a Mcintosh or a Kenwood unit?

Bluetooth units that emulate a CD stacker and plug into the stock stereo work well. Give you hands free calling, can play music on your phone and are a hell of a lot cheaper than buying double DIN surround for BP/BL legacies.

It is the super stock model, so I guess Kenwood?

Can you link to one of the plug in units? One that emulates a CD Stacker, think the stereo is already a 5/6 disc changer?

I don't ever plan on listening to CDs in it though so don't mind loosing that functionality.

Oh that looks smart, will have to check I'm understanding it operates like how  I imagine it does!

So although  I've got a 6 disc changer in the dash, I could also have an external changer in the boot, and it is that which this would emulate? Looks all good then.

Also phone calls can be managed through the buttons too Great.

Cheap for what it is really.

Yeah, the name brand units (GROM and Anycar) are double the price.

And yup,you just plug into where the external changer would plug in at the back and you are away laughing. Stereo buttons to skip tracks etc work or you just used your phone if have a phone holder on your dash. Just need to have your stereo on CD mode.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
