Only place to buy a sump plug washer is a dealer?

Recommended Posts

Looking to buy a sump plug washer for an upcoming oil change.

I've tried SuperCheap and Repco who between them; don't have the right size in stock, only sell multipacks of ones I don't need anyway, or want to sell me a $14 'upgraded' plug/washer combo.

Don't know of any other autostores that sell parts over the counter so easily?

I'll ring the dealer tomorrow and see if I can get one there, but it seems a bit over the top just for a $1-2 part?

Supercheap+Repco guys said to just re-use the existing one, I'd rather not as it might be 2-3-4 times old already? I believe it is a crush washer type too, so fresher is better!

Did you try looking at the champion stand at repco an supercheap. Best to look yourself as alot of times you ask them they dont know of half the stuff on the stand. I seen one yesterday on that stand

Honestly yes, SuperCheap had a random pack of 10, one looked liked it might be large enough, problem is I don't have 10 random cars at home that need oil changes, just one  I want to do properly...

Repco, they had a three pack of one type that was marked as an Imperial size, might;ve done the job but not 100% sure Shop guy didn't know.

Might have just been low stock at each store I checked  I guess, but the staff knowledge wasn't great. Repco boasted over 100,000 car parts available, but not a common service item? I'm missing something surely?

Any copper or fibre washer will work. Try an engineering supplies or hydraulic shop.

That’s what i’ve done to my engine and tranny plugs. Plus replaced the standard plug engine one with the magnetic tranny one from partsouq.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
