Pete likes to hang out there in the breeze so he can cool off on tough days.

 

I've seen people mount both the horns off to one side to stay out of Pete's way, I'll try find a pic.

You could put the horn in front of Pete he won't mind, won't make too much difference as long as it's not going to hit pete when you go over bumps.

 

give the alloy pipe a clean while you're there, but don't polish it. A light scuff with scouring pad from the kitchen works. Rough surface coolers better.

You could bend Pete out the way or remove him as he probably only does anything when the steering is being worked VERY hard. But it seems silly to remove a functional item for a horn IMO so offsetting the horns would my my pick.

 

iirc @Subru had this problem in the past.

Yeah, Not a fan of the offsetted horns, 

Not too sure what to do.

Will probably just collect dust for a few months till I make up my mind

Yeah Pete has to make room for Jeff...

You can unbolt Pete from where its attached to in the grill area and u can actually just push Pete down carefully, keep an eye just to make sure its all good, I did that and worked fine. Then I just made something up to hold it down. Decent cable ties prolly do the job. Pete doesn't mind hanging out behind the bumper out of the path of flies.

Optimal bug flow is usually suboptimal airflow. Some people run coolers (PS, oil, turbo etc) in the front guards ducted from the brake vents in the bumper. That would take some fabrication though.
