Yea anythings possible. Just not practical or beneficial for most.

You need either two wastegates or a larger one with a separator plate right up to the gate to keep the two header runners separate. Best place seems to be just before the uppipe as space is limited anywhere else. Then either do it the dodgy way and bleed it off to atmosphere or have a rather long runner going all the way back to the downpipe.

Is the goal just the noise from an external gate?

They sound particularly bad on twinscroll Subaru’s in my opinion. Plus not exactly cheap by the time you factor in the cost of fab, gate/s, adequate solenoid and a tune.

what he said above..

cheapest way would be to get someone to hack in a pipe in from the up pipes - but really not going to gain any performance benefit unless its done correctly and with the stock turbo, the noise may be the only gain..

Why not just a hole in the headers?

It will make the car even slower.

First question is what you're actually hoping to achieve. If it's just fully hektik noise... maybe consider just not doing it. Lots of money to spend to probably make your car slower and look like a complete tool-bag.

ok so guess thats out of the to do list for now haha.

yeah i was actually just going for the scream from it lol but a big no no if its going to affect performance.

iv been doing abit of research on a better bolt on twin scroll turbo for these but cant really nail the right one.

came across the Kinugawa Japan TD04HLA-19T GTX. question is it really better?

thanks for the replies fam. appreciate it.

Those americans and their dynos and their fuel. I used to browse the legacygt and the nasioc forums as well. Few have gotten 300whp but that's a push. I doubt you can get 300whp on a td04. I had the same turbo and I wanted 300whp on my legacy, but after speaking with Steve Murch, it wasn't possible.

You can achieve 220kw on a vf36 or a vf37, they are a twin scroll turbo but you will have to fabricate the up pipe (different flange) and possibly the downpipe. And again, the supporting mods, fuel, exhaust etc

i live in samoa...so thats the hassle for me. i usually get family to bring parts over for me from nz

hey man

you can remove the stock downpipe and then you can smash the cat out from the downpipe

that might be the cheapest option..

or subtech here have a downpipe you can buy

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
