Occasional white smoke.

So during the last out of town trip the car seems to have developed a bit issue with occasional smoking.

Have looked around the net without much luck yet as nothing else quite fits the way mine is behaving.

Has only done it twice, with both times being while at 90ish kph while giving mild/medium amounts of throttle through twisting roads following other cars. Once it starts any amount of acceleration leads to reasonably small amounts of smoke but if given a few mins of driving smoothly it goes away and doesn't come back.
Aiming to get the downpipe off this weekend to see if the turbo has any more play than usual since white smoke apparently leans towards that.
Never has any issue burning through oil or coolant so unless it’s the turbo I'm a little stumped.

My understanding is white smoke indicates burning water/coolant. "Blue" smoke (which is fairly white) indicates burning oil.

But it sounds more like an oil build up after decent driving than a coolant issue (blow by etc.)

Breathers still plumbed in to the intake?

That's kinda what I was thinking too. Most people seem to have trouble distinguishing white from blueish so could be either.

Just had a gut feeling that it's heat and oil/coolant related since it goes away when it cools down and needs sustained load to give it enough heat to start happening then goes away rather quickly.

Yea everything breather wise is standard currently. Have an AOS on the way so will be altering all that in the near future.

Could try plumb the breather lines to somewhere visible, obviously block off the intake side. See if it's breathing heavily under load.

If it was a coolant issue, "normally" once it's hot enough to start causing an issue it doesn't cool without switching the car off

Monitor your fluids and get a leak down test.I’m currently chasing a strange vibration from my engine around 2800 rpm.Had a leak down test and oil pressure check. Results came back ok.Peace of mind that the engine at least is not ready to expire.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
