What have you done to your car today?

Put some fuel in it, took it for a thrash round the country. Left with it running on 2-3 cylinders and not idling, come back on 4 cylinders with a solid idle :D just what it needed.

Had a bit of a moment, thought i popped a tyre but it just tore off a strip of canvas or something lol?

Pulled bumper off ready for panelbeaters to check chassis damage this week. Boot has decided it doesnt want to close again. Race tape it is.

Noticed about 5L of water sitting in the spare tire well which had gotten in through the cracked taillight...

Anyone can paint like that, it does take practice and time like anything and common sense. TBH i learned how to use a spray gun at CMG electric motors (big factory in melbourne) over 10years ago not at panel beaters. i have a few years on my belt prepping and blocking back panels at panel beaters but never did get to spray in booth there.. i learned how to apply paint at CMG where i ran the big paint line for a few years.

Never say you can\'t do something because that is simply not true ;)

2k cup car?

That\'s the eventual plan for next year. For now it\'s just a runabout till I sorry out fixing/selling the wrx then it\'ll be used more as a track car. Wrx is too expensive/fragile to use on the track without spending a heap of money on it. $600 to replace an engine is better than 3k+. The Toyota has only done 165kms too, not bad for $1600, just a bit of peeling clear coat.

Let me know how you get on with fitting it, I tried one on mine with an offset clutch fluid reservoir and it was one hell of a squeeze, after a lot of swearing and knuckle grazing I put the original back on, still want to do it again and fit it properly though!

Ross will probably find it a whole lot easier as he wont have a whole lot of TT junk in the way :D

That. ;D

I\'m fitting a Version 7 STI Manifold at the same time, just waiting for it to arrive to measure up. I\'m pretty sure the TB moves forward on the V7 STI Mani, giving more room at the back. Either way, it\'s going in...

Yeah I talked to Marky about it and he said it involved some percussive maneuvering using said \'hammer\' but also that it rested on his clutch cylinder reservoir and waste gate actuator and knocked occasionally but was still a good fit. I got mine all the way in sweet but just wasn\'t happy about not mounting it in some way. Little bit of fabrication expertise would have solved that problem but just didn\'t have the time.

I\'ll take a few pics with measurements when the new manifold arrives.

I\'m pretty sure that the Version 7 passenger tmic bracket will fit onto the version 5/6 manifold. I\'ll let you know next week.

The drivers side V7 STI & WRX bracket is a straight fit.

TB silicone joiner can be shortened, TMIC brackets bolt holes slotted and Firewall hard lines moved (differential sensor and brake booster vac).

Edit: My Primary waste gate is gone, I\'ve also brought a Version 8 clutch master cylinder.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
