Finally got my new grill apart so i can prep it to be plastidipped

Too hot to wash my car, so took it to the valet service at Albany Mall..Full exterior and interior but didn't do the polish option, pretty impressed with their work and only some minor detailing for me to do plus a good polish once it cools down. Best way to spend a few hours in the sun/eating haha

Finally used the plasti-dip i bought 18mths ago on the rear plastic window surrounds of the GC8. Came out minters. Why didn't i do it earlier.

Took mine for a spin up the coast to Opononi thro Waipoua forest anyone who's been up there will know how sick the roads are. Love the torque of the bigger donk you can just cruise up hills part throttle 1.5-3k in vac and it doesn't even think about bogging. I was trying to get some decent vid of the 250T headers but the cam is a bit to Chinese and just made an annoying clicky noise thro the whole couple of vids and rendered the sound completely useless not to mention how shaky it was on the mount.

Anyway here's the better one coming out of the North end of the forest:

scored up a 3 inch downpipe for Pocket change yesterday because it had 3 badly dented sections . . today literally cut out the bad sections and panel beated them back into shape and welded them back in

vwaaalaaaa just like a new one

also got a very nice jasma rear muffler . stainless was real tarnished and ugly so whipped out the grinder and the buffing kit . Also looks like new

ready to install tomorrow hope it has a good rumble

Pulled the wing off for a buff and new foam adhesive tape so took it for a drive - rather strange without the wing and I'm not a fan so put it straight back on.

Spent all day making up an exhaust which is mostly 3 inch . One coby . One rear jasma muffler which u can see straight out the other side ....

started it up and cried

never have I once in my life herd a cat less straight through 3 inch sound quieter then the engine

now my little tiny bov is the loudest thing on the car and it's so quiet lol

oh and changed brake pads so no more squeeling which is good cos the squeeling would have been louder than my exhaust

Turtle wax mag wheel cleaner, about $16 a bottle. Grab an old tooth brush too, and a pressure washer.

Repco usually, its amongst their cleaning stuff, normally bottom shelf

Put alloy radiator in. Sat a little higher on the passenger side; modified bracket to fit. Silicone rad hoses having a knack for being too long needed shortening. Otherwise hassle free. Oh except for the bolt that snapped in the old radiator when i took the fans off. No biggy have a million bolts in buckets plenty fit. No more plastic end tanks

Make sure the rubbers are seated on the bottom mount mine has that issue I just cbf trying to line up the perished rubbers.

Went to start it, would go into anygear once car was runinng.. .. rung my mechanic in auckland he said its more then likely the clutch slave cylinder? Otherwise its my whole clutch which would be covered under warranty but id have to get towed up to Auckland I presume..
