lol @Kiwi_Fozze won't take it on the track. He keeps bleeding on about how it's got 300,000km on the clock and that "it'd be it's last day if I took it on the track". haha

Nah, Tactrix the bastard, give it a safe tune, drop the boost a little, Pump up the tyres so the driveline survives and you don't have traction. With a baffled sump he'll be sweet.
Come on Adam, you know you want to.

Bought a baffled sump, drove her a bit, damn i'm enjoying the drive now, all the work i've done is paying dividends in the handling.

It's amazing how much fixing up suspension parts does to the drivability of a car eh? Just changing my struts and springs from factory to STi inverted struts + STi pink springs has made the car a lot more fun to throw around and given me more confidence in the car.

What are the rules about accidental all 4 spin?

I mean, if your really pushing it and peel around a corner while twisting a nip and the back kicks out, can you stylishly plant it and whip it out wide?

Just for the record I know how westie that sounds :P

Today I was driving and had a near miss with a bird... or so I thought. Got back home and opened the bonnet only to have a bird fly out and almost hit me. It got caught by the bonnet scoop and was just sitting on the intercooler for the rest of the drive. Not sure who was more shocked, the bird or me.

Spent the next five minutes pulling feathers out of the intercooler fins.

changed spark plugs. one of the coil pack plugs fell off the coil as i was doing it. so, cant confirm if bosch plugs or bad connection was causing weird intermittant miss. can confirm idles a LOT nicer.

moved it round on the driveway, that was about it.

Had that with the old GC8, Except the one I hit may or may not have made contact during a passing manoeuvre at slightly above the speed limit.
Then another hour of driving through to picton, needless to say- the little bugger did not get up and fly away...

Took the RS Ajays - My new BC Gold Coil-overs and Brembo brakes to go on, should be interesting to see if the brembos fit in the back, just found a set of V4 Sti rear hubs so if they dont fit my STD RS hubs hopefully they fit the V4 wrx hubs (and then hopefully the V4 hubs fit my rear shafts)

Failed wof in the bg. Chip in windscreen and right rear lower control arm bush is knackered. Oh well, was going to switch to alloy arms in a couple of weeks when on holiday. Guess I'll just have to do it sooner...

Nice, what does the Cert cost for the coil-overs?

Cert is the same for anything I believe, I will eventually get the car certed once all the mods are done, so I can get all the mods certed at once.

Now that nearly everything is fixed on it I don't think I'll have too much trouble getting a cert

No way mate! I havn't decided what way to go on that one, probably end up going EWG plumbed back in but for now ill leave it, sounds way different after the tune (well that gate does, way less screamy)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
