mate, it's probably not taken for a reason. "EJ" for most normal people is read as "Edge" . you will be the "edge god" . it's NSFW so not linking but look up meaning of edge / edging on urban dictionary. ppl that know about subarus will know its about the engine but you gotta factor in what normal people see/read cos you may or may not get a lot of S*** for it. ppl struggle wtih my plate to this day , but lucky its not linked with some random disgusting slangs lol

500 wastegate

250 fuel pump

200 pink injectors or decap what you have

400 fmic and piping

400 exhaust

80 mac valve

1400 tune

3000 rebuild new gaskets, valve springs, pistons and rods

 

Then whatever fab and rebuild costs you. If you can do it yourself then its a fair saving. Not sure how far you could push the stock block as far as requiring a rebuild goes. Id go for 300wkw and see what happens. Would be F***ing torquey with decent turbo selection.

When talking to DTech about doing a forged build on an EZ30 Tony said it was a very expensive engine to strip and assemble, as well as the obvious extra need for more parts due to more pistons. So I would suggest it won't be quite that cheap to build a strong motor?

I'd double it IMHO. At least 4k if you're doing it yourself.

Not sure it would be cost effective if you pay a shop to do all your work. On the other hand if you do it all yourself or at least most of it then 3-4k would likely suffice. 

 

You also wouldnt be shelling out 500 or so for new timing gear unless it was rooted so theres that too.

Well, asshat Photobucket is now charging a monthly fee for an account that can link to other websites so all of us previously using them have to either pay the bill or go to the effort of uploading eveything to another hosting site and relinking every photo ever posted. Really F***s me off TBH.

I cant even log in anymore keeps throwing me out whenever I try to upload. Went to imageshack after a year of swearing at the screen.

Seems to be an ongoing problem if you google it. If you can log in you can dump all the photos to your desktop but yea linking is a C***.

flickr. They already offer paid accounts and doubt will try to commercialise the whole thing, imho imgur reduces the quality of uploaded pics as it's original purpose was to provide photo hosting for reddit users, correct me if I am wrong.

Really? I can never tell tbh using Imgur. I've always used Imgur for probably a good 6 years or so never gone to any other sites because Imgur never charged a single cent and quality did not suffer (As far as I know anywho). I've never been able to differentiate when taking a photo vs being on computer screen; I guess not too the point where it would pixelate it anywho.

never had anything better than a phone camera so wouldn't know, but all my mates on the SLR camera buzz rave on about flickr for quality hosting of their super hi res shots, maybe there's some truth to it after all
