What have you done to your car today?

Got it serviced. Was a bit annoyed that the mechanic charged me for parts that I supplied to him. His proof that I didn't supply them was that the box that had all the supplied parts in was empty... once the service had been complete.
Lol what. Did you pay for those parts?

Yes, twice :( He wasn't going to let it go... and it was just two oil filters with a total value of about $40, so wasn't worth standing my ground for too long.

I just won't go back there.

Almost deserves a name and shame. Not because of $ but because of the principle.

Yip, name and shame.

It may have only been a few bucks for you, but how many times have they done this to other people.

I know I would be p***ed off if I got charge for something I supplied.

Pulled off all the doorcards on the wagon to measure up replacement speakers since the ones in there are damaged and sound terrible.

Turns out the front left speaker has been replaced with a random pioneer and the rest are still the factory kenwood units. Not sure why someone replaces just one speaker haha.

Ordered a new head unit, front tweeters plus front and rear speakers. Can't wait to have decent sound again.

Where is everyone setting up action cams besides the dash?, which I won’t be doing on a 4th gen Legacy.

Tried having it attached to the centre light plastic cover but gets a bit more movement than i’d like. Does get a pretty decent wide view being that far back though. Sits a bit high without the extra arm.

Thats a fantastic idea @Andy_Mac Need to try at the next drag day. Hopefully it doesn't fly off :D

Doubt it would ever give you trouble at the drags. I was taking some super rough roads with it at ALOT higher speeds than the corner speed suggestions and didn’t show any signs of coming loose.

Pulled turbo off mates legacy and I have a video of intake and exhaust housings of the damage. The intake has completely lost the nut that goes on the end so who knows if the engine ate that. The shaft is not connected, I can spin one side but other side doesn't move. Video explains the rest :P

lol enjoy :)

So do you suspect the nut came off and jammed the compressor and snapped the shaft.

Going to be interesting to see where the nut turns up.

Probably in the intercooler. I'd say it is either still in the turbo or in the intercooler, I don't see how the nut could make it through the intercoolerfins fins.

Ratshit, hope it’s not another write-off for you?

I feel like it might be another one... :/  Fark

No pics for now sorry. A young restricted driver in a 300Z lost control on Esmonde Rd northbound on-ramp and ended up going perpendicular to the traffic flow on the motorway. I was the unlucky one who T-boned her. Then I believe a third car was involved that hit me (LHS front quarter) and sent me spinning into a shoulder barrier (RHS rear quarter).

Re. @Subru's missing compressor nut...

It will be in the hot side of the intercooler. Or maybe somewhere in the compressor housing, possibly wedged in the fins of the compressor wheel.

Jesus please tell me you found and removed it before starting the car? If it rolls back into the turbo somehow... repeat exercise.

how about you and your passengars (if any)?

Thankfully it was just me in the car, all good apart from some decent muscle pain in the neck.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
