Fark I am not so sure about posting pics of my cars online anymore... it's almost like they become cursed or something, kind of want this one to last a bit longer than a year :)

It'll be fine :) *touches wood*
Just install this, so you can touch wood all the time :P

Just received my parts from @D1Style.

Send late yesterday, received in ChCh just before lunch time!

Stoked, now gotta get a warrant and fail then put my bits in. Gonna be a busy weekend.

Need to do inner LHS CV boot, 2x sway bar links and 2x ball joints.

Actually realised that my Warrant is due next month. Yay, that gives me time to install the parts and make sure I do a decent job.

Audis are all good, just not my thing... Realised that when I jumped back into the bimmer.

We might have the same opinion on Audis then, really fast in straight lines but I don't think I would like the handling and understeer.

The new TT or the R8 are probably exceptions though, I would be keen to try one of these.

with one or two exceptions, fast audis are one trick ponies.

extremely quick in a straightline with little driver involvement.

highly competent but hard to love.

I guess I just hooked up after driving a V8T, then a BiTDI... glad I decided to give bimmers another chance and tried their diesels too.

New Block8head dash vent pod is now in. Super happy with it.

Not so happy with the dash...

It was always stuffed under the existing stuck down mount anyway but now it seems a lot worse, or i’d just forgotten how bad it was from the start...

The damn rubbish dashes are the only thing I really hate about 4th gens. Even a new one will still be super soft and quick to mark, hence my lack of a replacement one so far

I put in the remaining stuff I bought: a Boomba short shifter plate, a Perrin steering dampener lockdown, and a Perrin brass shifter bushing. The dampener lockdown is probably the easiest piece I've ever put on, and literally took five minutes. The brass bushing would also be pretty quick, but means detaching the shift cable and the bushing cover. The Boomba, on the other hand, was an absolute bastard to put on as it has the plate has a heat shield on it that you have to take off, with a hidden bolt tucked way up high next to the transmission, and a roll pin that just didn't want to come out. For good measure, I also cut my hand on the exhaust heat shield. Again.

Here's the factory and the Boomba side by side. The boomba is more than twice the thickness (which you can't really see in the picture) and weight:

I'm happy with all of them, but surprisingly the one I think makes the biggest different was the easiest one to install: the dampener lockdown. I would definitely recommend it.

Fitted some DRLs.

Bit of a work in progress as I'd like to wire them up so they turn off when park lights are on.
They have built-in dimming feature which dims them when they get 12V from park lights. I wired this to constant 12V for the time being.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
