Maybe?

Took my car in for its latest recall last week.

Borrowed a 2019 XV from Winger... Man they are nice. Radar cruise on the motorway is awesome. Just remember to cancel it when you come to a roundabout 🤫😂

Hit up Winger about coming to the party for the HVAC debacle.... Will see what they say.

Tinkered with the ecu tune image a nudge for first start and drive home tomorrow.

Let's see what happens. I'm not holding my breath, I'd have assumed the first start on a new motor would have been done a day or 2 prior to collection.

We'll see.

Then you discover Radar Cruise Control...it makes you lazy - honestly!

Yep!

I drove a brand new Toyota Camry rental with radar cruise control from Queenstown to Chch last year - just set a distance and enjoy the drive for most of it

I've driven my Dad's 2016 Mazda 6 Limited (GL chassis, not GJ) quite a fair bit, and it's brilliant in that! Had the chance to test drive a new Mazda 3 today (top spec one...until the Sky-Activ X engine comes out early 2020), and it can do stop start traffic with the radar cruise! Like, do I even need to drive anymore!?! Ffs's it makes driving too easy

Gave car a really good clean as hadn't done so in a while. Came up really good.

Next up is tinting front windows, redo the carbon wrap around outside doors, fuel flap and headlights as well as interior.
Don't have any time off till next week but will look stealth I reckon being all black

And she’s in, seems the controls that came with the wheel are either a different, darker version or all my silver trim pieces have just faded a heap over the years, not sure whether I should swap my old ones in or not.

Install took a grand total of about 30mins with half of that spent finding the correct sized torx bit for the airbag. 😒

Facelift have grey panels not the same silver stuff in the earlier ones :)

Ahh so they're STI controls rather than Legacy ones, which stayed silver the whole way through. So at what point did the STI’s get the black controls then? I was also always under the impression the STI’s never got the separate mode and mute button and just had one large button instead.

WRX - over the past two weekends I half Mother's 3 stepped the car with a Rockwell Polish/Buffer I got from Supercheap. I say half because I didn't have space to touch the passenger side, but I did claybar then use a Fireball nano coat type thing

Here is the 3 stepped side:

Taken on my iPhone with a damaged camera lens, should have taken my DSLR with me.

Got it started

Found an oil leak out the bottom of the oil pump.

Mechanic to pull the oil pump out Monday, re seal, then crank and run for 45 mins ish.

Then dump oil, check for shards of glitter in the oil filter, new break in oil in and drive it

Let the break in begin.

Need to sort out a time with @gotasuby to get it tuned... Chch is a bloody long way from Auckland but probably the only tuner I'd trust with my build

Soo... my diesel tractor has a factory launch control. Much fun indeed.

Now, curious to see what it does 0-100 with/without the LC  - what is the best free logging app? Android of course.

This is what it looks like, not my vid:

Dropped off new (smaller base) air filter, should fit better. Oil leak found, one of the block plugs at the front, not oil pump. Win. Car being started and run up to temp, leak checked and first start oil filter check being done. Barring any other issues she'll be home tonight.

Oh mate you don't want to see it atm, she fiiiilthy. If I'm honest with everything that's been going on and the dramas and s*** it's not had a proper clean for about 12 months.

Got a few more bits and pieces to go before it'll be ready, but this is a big hurdle out of the way.

You'll see it if you're at the clubsub meet on Wednesday ...

What's that, about 6 seconds? Bloody good for a tractor. Doesn't sound too uninspiring either 🤔

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
