Went to the NZ grand prix meeting at Manfeild yesterday for the first time in 30 years..

Perfect conditions and lots of clean and fast racing..

Crowd numbered only 2000 and the organisers seemed happy with that !!

Last time i went there were 20,000..

Most of the spectators over 50 years old including me..

Highlights for me...Kenny Smith in his Lola T332 lapping at a conservative 1:03 ..

Man i love the formula 5000's,the sound,the smell,the speed..I want one..

...The fly over by the Spitfire that has been rebuilt from a wreck by the guys from feilding. It is a beautiful aircraft and the v12 merlin sounds lovely..I want one..

...NZV8's..this is the first time i have seen them live and they are pretty exciting..

Fast and aggressive with lots of high reving V8 noises, banging and popping between gear changes..

...And lastly the grand prix toyota's which are surprisingly rapid for their engine size and provided a spectacle fitting of a nz gp with a field of 20 teenagers trying to make their mark in motorsport..

So i was well pleased with my afternoon at mighty Manfeild and happy to have paid my $35 for a chance to see whats going on at the top level in motor racing in 2016..

^^ GOOD, another convert to the semi darkside

Today I used it to move 2 lawnmowers, two labradors, reloaded on my "do sweet backfires" tune and L'ed my A O, embarassed an LS1 clubsport on a motorway onramp and contemplated what, if anything, I wanted to do to it next

#wagonlife

Yeah I think this one is going to be the child taxi so will keep it relatively stock. The BG will be for the dogs.

Man that thing is a rather glorious relic of a bygone era.... I'd love some Shivers just to hang in the garage and look at. Been meaning to pick up some Monster T's for the same purpose.

Also are those Hope M4's I detect?

I love my Shiver, has a Stratos cartridge in it, makes it less nose divey.

The best gnar steamer fork ever, point it where you want to go, and ignore everything in the way smaller than your head.:P

Not M4's, older than that, E4's!!

Actually I think I have changed some stuff on it since that pic, has Juicy Ultimates and some random Raceface cranks on it now, and a different front wheel.

Might have to haul it out and take some new pics.

Monsters are awesome, only ridden one set, haven't seem any for years tho.

Filed the warped flang on the external re-circ pipe and ree fitted to elimiste exhaust leak *don't buy cheap flanges they become nightmares. * v-band wastegates are c&$ts to work with... can the v-band stretch if removed and re fitted to much?

The V-band should only stretch if over-tightened, or maybe if it gets too hot, the bolt may wear tho, which could cause similar issues I guess.

Didn't you have those Shivers on your Kona back in the day? They look familiar

Not on a Kona, had them on my old Karpiel, which is now a wall ornament.

I did have a Kona Stab Supreme which got stolen, had 888's on it though.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
