  1. Hey Conducks.. you have got the cash to splash and an obvious desire to drive fast .. Have you ever had a shot on the track.. I am recommending you give it a go.. Karting is a great introduction to motorsport.. You will learn race craft, setup, organisation and have a real driving experience.. Then I would suggest a formula ford as the next step in your racing career.. I know its fun to blast around the streets in your hotrod but its not going to give you any personal growth.. Get out with a pack of other drivers giving it heaps and see how good you really are.. Doing crazy stuff on public roads isn't going to win you any prizes.. From my experience after spending a great day racing in a controlled environment the last thing you will do on the way home is bust the speed limit.. Do it properly man..

  2. I'll be the grumpy guy. This conversation is over, keep it on topic. ClubSUB does not endorse illegal activity. If the authorities want to pursue it the admin team will cooperate in anyway required.

  3. Waiting on a quote to repair the "paint" on the rear quarter of the car, after chasing a Porsche cup car at pukekohe, and running out of talent at castrol, that will teach me. Luckily mainly got away with it.

  5. Several years ago I acted as the sweeper car that went though at the end of each stage in the Targa Rally. Plenty of experienced drivers went off the road at speeds far less than 200km/h. They were okay due to lower speeds or the fact they had a roll cage and helmet etc. Most were caught out by totally unexpected hazards on the road such as oil spill, wild animal etc. And they had far more driving experience than you - by a country mile. Do yourself a favour and reign in your perecived powers of invincibility before it is too late. You have the rest of your life to live. I may think you're a knob, but doesn't mean I wish you ill will...

  6. My word you are a spectacular bellend. Your old man might want you to enjoy his success/money while he's still around to see it, but does he know that you behave like a spoilt brat a complete spanner to boot? Stacking humblebrags like they're going out of fashion... ugh.

Boot spoiler came on the car, but I'm sure they can be found on eBay :-) I'm happy with it aye, just don't look at the boot from behind atm, big ding in it from a nose to tail hit and run Monday avo. What did I do today? Drove it. Currently in Wellington, getting a few hours kip before being on the 7am ferry down to flatnats, awwwwwyiss

  13. ?????Dude the track is awesome!! Your appetite for speed must be ridiculous because you sound like a Formula 1 Driver whos been racing for 20years and is about to retire because it doesnt give him a rush anymore lol I've also raced plenty of things - its what gives me that adrenaline rush alot of us crave, and a day at the track is just magical for me - the straights, the corners, everything ^_ ^

  14. Your not seriously arguing that a trackday is an inappropriate venue for driving cars because your daddy's supercars didn't feel fast are you?

  17. We are fine with you posting on here, or atleast i am, its just that it seems like youre bragging and it makes you seem really immature, just gotta look at it from other peoples point of view. And if people knew you were part of clubsub and saw you doing silly stuff it brings down the reputation of the club and i think thats partly why other members are having a go, the other part is we dont want to see you get in an accident, i personally like your car and wish i had one of my own. But anyway lets get back on topic before RAYDEO tells us all off again

  18. Found it, non-subarus allowed? Google maps --> satellite view. GB mostly posts from a certain part of Auckland, once you identify that pattern it's not that hard

  20. Just because you are the only one in the car does not mean you only endanger yourself. What about the soccer mum with 4 kids who pulls out when you're ages down the road but doesnt expect you to be doing 2.6 times the limit?

  22. It’s got a resonator now, sounds deep again, but turns out removing your cats and going 3” stainless downpipe makes your car a S*** ton louder Also it’s a roller dyno... Reason hands are bad positions was bc it was track and being lazy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. take care bro. good to see you having fun on the track, clearly plenty to learn if that vid is anything to go by, did you ever have a driving instructor or cos ur was license paid for (ok cheap dig there sry)? a lot of basic discipline is lacking there. wouldn't be caught dead handling a corolla on streets like that let alone a porsche on track, i remember my instructor would stop the car every time and give me absolute grilling if i didn't have hands in right position or keep hand for a second too long on knob after shifting gear, if my head was not looking at corner exits etc.. take it as constructive criticism only cos you're young and can be pro by time as old as old fart like me. ps. your mates sound like bogan turds. being slightly better (or 'not as bad') than bogan turds doesn't make you smart, it just makes you a slightly more refined bogan turd.

  25. You had me freaking out with only one hand on the wheel at one point haha. Quick car, but it looks like a leisurely cruise. Gotta get those braking points and apexes nailed Looks fun tho. Would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous.

  32. @Conducks, I've lost a mate to a single car crash. Drivers' doors meeting power-poles don't go down well, even in newer cars. The impact that crash had on the entire community was tragic. The funeral was packed with people standing outside. Family, friends, emergency services, colleagues, classmates, you name it, they were all affected by the loss. Please, for everyone's sake; Slow the hell down on the street and sign up for the next track day in Taupo.

  36. That makes it okay then. As speedysub says, it still has an effect on others (give a thought as to how your parents may feel) not to mention the tax payer $ to either clean up the mess or the medical care you would require for the rest of your life as you sit drooling all day in a vegative state.

  37. Willing to bet there isn't a race track or privare road long enough for a 2016 STi to hit 260+. And as for me no. Not even half that speed. Have no need to be that stupid or irresponsible. As someone who works in a hospital OR I have seen the results of what goes wrong - at least those that survive....

  38. Yeah there's nothing structural, bumper iron is fine, no ripples in the Tyre well, everything is straight, it's literally just the plastic and the outer skin of the boot lid. It still sucks though. I hope the cops throw the book at the driver. His 3 kids in the car were in tears, begging him to shut up as he was shouting at me for "going to slow" in a 30kmh temporary speed zone. I was turning into the driveway of my scout hall, he full beamed me then punted me up the arse. All my scouts heard and saw it too, so the rest of the evening was spent reassuring them.

  39. Lol those stickers mean nothing. I've seen "400kW+" stickered cars do sub 300kw on hub dynos. At the end of the day, it's your car, you don't have to justify your decisions but the guys/gals on here have great advice on how to make your car perform. Don't just be one of these guys: chasing-numbers.jpg
