  1. Yes a large exhaust will kill your primary turbo. I have a Rage system, 2.5inch (siamese front pipe) front to back which has a much greater exhaust flow compared to the p shooter factory pipes. The extra flow reduces back pressure allowing turbo to spool faster. Not a huge issue though, just means you need the wastegate to open more. Take it to someone that knows subs and get it tuned. Pretty sure its just drilling out the brass pill in the vacuum/boost line to the wastegate actuator, this allows it to open more, not sure if anything else needs doing though.
  2. The main thing I'm after is durability, I have a Rage exhaust with the big downpipes so want turbos that will last without having to do fiddle with the wastegate to stop the primary overspooling and eventually dying. Plus a bit of extra boost and drivability wouldn't go astray.
  3. any 18/19 pair you get will be just as tired I now have VF31 Primary and VF27 Secondry pair in mine - hoping to dyno next weekend Excellent, thats just the kind of info I was after I knew later would be better but didn't know what later models had in em. So these larger turbos will still just bolt up, with the same oil and water lines etc?
  4. My primary turbo (VF13) is crapping out. Just wanted a bit of feedback on replacing both primary and secondary (VF14) with a VF18 and 19. I'm guessing it should be pretty straight forward fit wise. What about control? Should I get an ECU to go with them or will it run allright with the existing ECU? Any input appreciated.
