  1. The local subaru guy has great pleasure in reminding me that bumpers are worth about 11g. If it wasnt my fault, Id expect new ones too. Mind you for that price you could surely get some nice carbon fiber ones......
  2. Yep, seems pretty clear. Anyway..... waiting to hear from the OP
  3. Back to the OP, whats the wording on the pink sticker describing the fault?
  4. "A modified vehicle is not required to be LVV certified, or further certified," I take this to read that if the vehicle has got a cert it doesnt need a recert for anything under the threshhold
  5. Here you go - Ill save you the trouble of apologizing. I did read it. Here is the clause from the LVV code. Perhaps I missed something? If the wheels do fit the modification threshold then it doesnt need to be recerted.
  6. You need to cert when: "Wheel and tyre changes (non-OEM items), e.g. wheels wider than the bodywork, or with spacers or a different offset to the OEM design. Tyres with more than 5% greater rolling circumference than the OEM tyres." http://www.lvvta.org.nz/index.html The fact that you have a cert for other items shouldnt impact on other legal changes that dont require a cert. Obviously you cant put lower profile tyre / wheel combos that would impact on the existing cert causing the car to be lower to the ground. The measurement however is from the wheel center to the guard (which shouldnt change)
  7. A green sticker is for boy racer mods and pink sticker is for an unsafe vehicle. You can still be permitted to drive somewhere on both. What sort of car is it to save all the guessing about rims Chuck some OE rims back on it and take it back to VTNZ and plead innocence ;-)
  8. Whats the easiest positive wire to access in the boot of a 01 legacy? One thats always powered. Im guessing the boot light switch? Any others?
  9. Illegal and expensive. What are you wanting to achieve other than 'ive heard good things about it'
  10. An 01 legacy - BE5C I can only see that some Fozzys are on the list, but it is an American list Im guessing
  11. Edit: works on the commy, must be a subaru thing......
  12. Thinking out loud....I wonder if connecting the test plugs under the dash would help. eg the black and or green CEL plugs. Can one or either be plugged in full time? The nuvi connects to the HD but the HD doesnt connect to the car. I know the OBD port works as I have a tatrix cable that can monitor values via the laptop. Id like to see it work, It'd frustrate the hell out of me to flick it off and admit failure ;-)
  13. Gah, didnt even work in the mrs commodore..... not much on the web. Ill try to flatten the batteries and re install. Then trademe
  14. Has anyone tried one of these? Garmin EcoRoute I got given one that should pair with my nuvi1390. Im having trouble pairing as doesnt appear to finish handshaking. Its plugged into the obd port with no other changes as per instruction. The LED remains blue and solid (as if its connected) but the screen says otherwise. It does recognize that there is one plugged in though. I also tried the android app which detects it but fails on the communication protocols. So same story, it can detect it but doesnt finish the connection Its on a 2001 legacy. Garmins incompat list doesnt show this model. Back to google.........
  15. You have to be nice to prisoners else they may sue the Government...... http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sexual-assault/news/article.cfm?c_id=1500916&objectid=10788099
