  1. Cheers Tony, the gc8 abs sensor looks out to the back of the hub to a tone ring, whereas the gdb sensor looks into the hub where the cv is. I\'m thinking I\'ll just be forking out for new bearings..
  2. Cool so the abs sensor will be the right size? Seeing as the sensor is looking at a different point on both hubs thought it may not work..?
  3. Hi guys just wondering if anyone knows if a front left gc8 wheel hub would be compatible with a v7 gdb sti? My bearings are shot and can get my hands on a gc8 hub with good bearings. The only noticeable difference I can see is the abs sensor is in a different location. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Ok so this thread has totally lost the plot From all the replies I figure its sweet that in 1st and 2nd, 3rd gear boosting at 1 bar then 4th and 5th its jumping to 1.5bar? Nothing to worry about?

  6. Hey I think I may be having the same problem, my v7 sti just started shaking rough at idle and kinda sounded like it was misfiring. Thought maybe it needed some new spark plugs but after changing them still have the same problem so maybe its a avsc issue. Just wondering is the filter supposed to be shoved inside the grub screw quite tightly, I guess so it doesnt fall out? Or is it supposed to be sitting loosely at the base of where the screw screws into? Any help is appreciated

  8. Firstly..as marc stated..does the car have any modifications? mine would spike but only to 1.3 and DIE down as it hits higher revs. no major mods, just exhaust and hks blow off from what i can tell. next time im driving i'll watch to see if it dies down in the higher rev range
  9. Located on The North Shore...boost seems kinda all over the place, 1st and 2nd gear its at about 1bar then 3rd 1.3 and 4th, 5th and 6th is at 1.5bar. maybe this is normal? Just took her out for a short blat to see and hit a possom which cracked my front lip, gutted!!
  10. Im a total n00b to turbos and recently bought a v7 sti(its awesome!!) after driving hondas for the past 10 years and need some advice. At the moment its running at 1.5bar of boost, just wondering is this safe as I thought standard was about 1bar? It has a defi-link control unit with boost gauge and the past owner told me it adjusted the boost but have recently found out it only sets a warning light on the gauge. If I'm running at 1.5bar does it mean there is someway to adjust the boost back? any help would be appreciated, cheers
