Hi all a mate of mine wants to buy my manual conversion out of my 99 forester parts car and I'm wondering will it fit into his 99 b4 legacy I'm sure the gearbox will but what about the pedals etc as I don't think they will but just wondering
hi all i have an ej205 from a forester and ive had the flywheel ground and was wondering what i have to torque the flywheel down too and also the clutch if you have too?
hi all have a 1999 subaru forester which im wrecking im trying to remove the front and rear bumpers from the vehicle and i have undone all the bolts from the rear one and its wobbly as but wont slide off like the wrx one did is there a certain clip or bolts that i cant find???
Well thats a curve ball thanks heaps for all your help rosssub guess I've got to get a new block now lol glad I've found this out before I went about rebuilding it looks like the guy lied when I brought it and had slapped a few engines together made it run and sold it to me
So I have reasonable suspicion that it's a twin turbo engine converted to single how can I tell what block I have all I have for numbers is in the above pic
ok so got my engine out last night got curious today and found some interesting things
left hand head has LH B then 002T
Right Hand head has RH B 009
as for the block it has 910
keen to know about my heads as to me im thinking this is a mix match engine and im trying to work out why ive done a bearing lol
Very interesting I work at repco and we have Ryco then repco and at the bottom we have silverline of the price range although silverline is made from Donaldson where as repco filter are imported but at the end of the day I use Ryco filters or go genuine
Posibly going down the rebuild track what's people's thoughts on bearings what to use acl or genuine I can get acl at a third of the genuine price even at trade but would rather get what's best to handle a bit of drag racing and public track days
Hi all have a 1999 ver6 wrx that I'm rebuilding now looking at the clutch and flywheel is it worth going lightened or standard not sure what's better I do a bit of drag racing from time to time
Ok only other question if I brought a v7 sti shortblock would my gearbox still bolt up or am I better off getting a V6 sti shortblock
I can get trade with the dealer aswell lol
Hi all took my 1999 v6 wrx to the drags today got one run and then wham the litrue man with the hammer is tapping in my engine truly guttered lol
Now I'm not sure what to do should I get another engine or do I look to build up and sti motor or rebuild what I have?
Hi all having a few issues with my wipers when I first got the car I noticed that they sit quite high up and didn't wipe very high on the screen so I moved them down slightly now they whack both sides has anyone had this issue?
ok so the boost didnt last 2 weeks to be exact i have now replaced every vaccum line with new silicone hosing and cleaned out the solenoids again but still no avail
Hi all I'm going to be aquiring a vf23 turbo over the weekend I have a V6 wrx with a tdo4 other than bolting it on do I have to change anything over etc...
Yep idles smooth just gave it an oil change last night put some penrite hpr 5 in it and this is going to sound silly but it's now boosting almost .7 of a bar so bout where it should is it at all poss the old oil was to thick or I have a failing oil pressure sensor?
So have now cleaned out the solenoid was quite dirty although it wasn't stuck open/shut test drove still at 7 psi didn't throw any codes after either noticed a lot of hard vac lines so will be getting silicone ones shortly and replace the lot
