  1. yup couple of people iv talked to that have dyno sheets etc there 440z were at 95% duty cycle at 210kw so bascily the max you can get out of them ... 200kw prob more safer bet
  2. all goods got someone to look at tomorrow night.. Will def get timing sorted first THEN play with the carby... The float or something inn the carb seems to be sticking cause sometimes the revs seem to stick...
  3. im like 99% sure its to do with the timing and carby settings cause somebody had a botchy as go at tuning before i bought it cause sleeperfoz had a look and reckoned timing was 180 degrees out or sometihng as it was around on the slides as far as it would go....And the carb settings were all up the wall
  4. Yeah it a jap import it a 1988 though... Me and sleeperfoz had a look there was one hose off we fixed that.... The fuel level was right we checked that 2 as well..

  6. Right iv just got my 1.5l fx g carbied corolla to get aroudn in whilie i fix the r.. It runs rich at idle and has a really rough idle definatly needs a tune up have put new plugs and distributa cap (it was stuffEd) a air filter and fuel filter tonight..It runs better at cold and worse at hot at idle so something not right.. What i need is somebody that is really good at carbs and KNOWS what they are doing ahha dont want a monkey playing with.. Carb needs a tune and the timing needs well timing cause its out.. I am going to be in hamilton for the next 3 days and if somebody on here is a bit of a wizz with these and wants a box of piss or whatever then flick me a message or alternativly does anybody know anyone in hamilton that is really good at these ie. a workshop Cheers Brad

  9. +1 i find it very good oil!! +2 Ive found http://www.partsquipdirect.com/ a great place to buy it from Cheaper buying 20l worth than buying a few bottles of mangngatec and always going to have some left over no containers and a bit...Think il get some of that soon
  10. Nope was me that started it we were guna meet at bombay then travel up to werever you take the turn off to kawakawa bay /clevedon etc and turn off there and head down to kaiaua. Go for gold if you guys want to haha. As said i wont be coming as dont have no car lol
  11. your idles messed up hard man haha when i drove it the other day it like stalls out heapz when you first start it if you dont give it a bita revs. And when your sitting there the car jsut revs all over the show randomly lol....

  14. ahhh hose clamps thats what i usedh ahah i didnt soak mine either but have head that works good
  15. i just wrapped mine say half a section overlap at a time and used ummm only tied it off at one end casue i wrapped the 1st end over itself... Hmm what did i use i cant remeber what to tie it off.. Fairly straight forward though just wrap half overlaps and should be sweet
