  1. Hey all, Just recently my 07 LGT has been having problems with CDs in the McIntosh head unit. Every time I turn the car back on, I have to load each CD individually, as though it has forgotten there is a CD in there. I have to hit load for it to load the first CD, then repeat this for all 6 cds, rather than it just knowing that there are 6CDs in the system and being able to select whichever one I wanted. This causes problems when any of the CDs are ejected (other than the 6th), because if the 4th CD is ejected i can only load the first 3, and i can't select the 5th or 6th because it doesn't recognise they are there. Because it doesn't think they are there, I can't eject or load them. Does anybody know of this happening or know how to fix it? Its driving me up the wall!! When i re-read this paragraph it sounds quite confusing but hopefully you know what I mean, please help!
  2. Hey guys, I've been searching for ages about the AUX button on my facelift BL5s Mcintosh Headunit. I eventually found in the owners manual the bit where it says there is a 3.5mm jack in the centre console, right below the cigarette lighter type power plug. Upon checking my car I found that there was no 3.5mm jack, only a little square black cover that seems reasonably well fixed. I didn't want to force it and break it as I checked it in the dark. My question is, if my head unit has the AUX button, why does it not have a 3.5mm jack? Or at least some other method of AUX input? Seems silly to have the button if it requires an aftermarket setup to get AUX Car is a 2007 facelift Spec B NZ new. Thanks! Mike
  3. the old girl after a quick wash apologies for the iPhone pic! She's for sale too
  4. The cable I have says VGA K+ CAN on the back. I have no idea if this will work with the suby… the LGT forums only mention a VAG-COM cable, although I found a thread where it said 07+ needs a different cable. So hard to tell with JDM/USDM/NZDM haha, anybody able to shed some light on this?
  5. Hey all, So with the recent purchase of my NZDM 07 B4 I am pretty keen to gut the cat/buy a downpipe and get a Stage 2 tune if I can. Given the cost of a dyno tune, it sounds like E-tuning is the way to go, and it seems like there are quite a few different tuners out there that have good reps. Problem is I have a mac and a PC is not readily available. Has anyone done an etune flash and revisions on a mac? Also, I borrowed an OBD2-USB cable from a work colleague but im not sure if this will work.. Maybe I'll need a different cable? What are some good TMIC options to replace the factory one? Prefer to keep it as stock (looking) as possible but if a stage2 puts the TMIC at risk/gives decent gains then I guess I'll need to upgrade it. Thanks in advance, you're all awesome P.S. I tried searching LGT.com and here and the oz one but didnt get anything about macs!
  6. Soo on closer inspection the intercooler piping leading to primary turbo looked to be leaking. The hose clamp was poked so I took off the tmic, degreased the bay a bit and cleaned it all up before putting it back together with my new hose clamp. Hopefully this will fix the issue, but I'm yet to take it for a drive (must have something to do with me being addicted to my BL :) )
  7. Thats what I thought, hence me finding this funny. Interesting how in the comments some people love it!
  8. Thought this was kinda funny: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/new-hog-zawst-system-sound-power-patented-washer-technology-35764.html?t=35764 Anyone done it? Whats it like?
  9. Thanks for the advice gents. ended up with a 6MT SI Drive and its bloody good fun. The 6 speed is wicked!
  10. Thank you everybody! With your help and info it all came together for me and I drove this home from CH today. So stoked! Steering was something that i always had an issue with in my BH, it was too light and lacked feel, but the BL is so much better. Goes bloody well too. Thanks again chaps! And for all those photographer types, my apologies for the lack of photo skills!
  11. hmm. the ever faithful seat-dyno feels as though its still pulling as good as ever. Maybe need to just give her a good clean up and then drive her and see if i can find the leak
  12. Its had the chatter for a while now but thought it could be related. The rocker covers are genuine ones and had all new studs in there as well so should be pretty good. havent had the boost gauge hooked up in ages and just decided to do so today. Before then I had never paid much attention to the boost so wouldnt have noticed the drop. Is that unusual for a drop off like that?
  13. Doesnt seem to be smoking out the exhaust. I'll have another look when I get the chance to drive it in daylight but AFAIK its not smoking - at least not any more than running a touch rich. And thanks ill edit to say primary
  14. Hey all, So I took the BH5 for a burn today as I wanted to see how she was going before I buy another car. Unfortunately, I ended up coming back with a couple problems. Bear with me as I try to explain, I am certainly no expert when it comes to turbo mechanics... By the end of the drive (only 10 mins or so, but reasonably spirited driving) I had a bit of smoke coming from around the primary turbo region (pax side). On closer inspection, I could see a bit of oil just below the gold wastegate/actuator thing. The smoke seemed to be coming up from between there and the turbo shroud, but it wasn't the oil itself that was burning, it was from further down. I don't really know what this could be? The turbo seems to run fine, although of note it would get to ~12psi on primary and then on secondary ~15psi at around 5.5-6k then drop to 12ish until redline (Boost gauge is fed from the Manifold-BOV line). A few weeks ago I got the rocker covers replaced due to starting to smell them, and also a mechanics recommendation. I now feel like this may have been in vain, as it could be the turbo making that smell?? I took a photo of the spot but wont let me upload as its too big. Ill try make it smaller! Another unusual thing I noticed was a bit of a flutter or rapid clicking as i went through 3-3.5k, but only for a couple of hundred revs. It did this in all gears (except 5th, didn't get to test that haha ). What're your guys thoughts on this? I'm at a bit of a loss here, I am just on the verge of buying a new car but don't want the BH to break at the same time! Any ideas?
  15. Also, is there any decent thread or link to a site that has info about the different BL/BP revisions and what was changed/added in each revision? I guess this differs for JDM and NZDM as well? I have tried the search but didnt get anything!
