  1. At STM, Chris Wall will most likely do the tune as opposed to Phil. I had my car tuned by Andre at STM and can say their service is top notch. $1295 is a fair bit for a tune, but it's worth it in the end if you are local and might need to have it tinkered with in the future. kris_pran saw my tune and can attest to its quality.
  2. [quote name='GC8E2DD said: Same as that, PA90 How much is required? Also I notice Motul is Mineral, Subaru Spec stuff is Synthetic. Any advantage one way or the other?
  3. Car has a 12v Feed run from the Battery.
  4. Baffled sump is 2 day turnaround from PBMS.
  5. I would look at a baffled sump. KillerB do one, and Possum Bourne motorsport will modify your one pretty cheaply. http://www.killerbmotorsport.com/index_files/OptimalOilPan.htm www.possumbourne.co.nz/products.html PBMS also advised against overfilling and as boon said, it can get into the intake and cause detonation.
  6. Hmmm, I've never checked which sock is on mine. Could explain some things.
  7. The DW200 pump is also another popular option. http://www.maperformance.com/blog/new-high-flow-in-tank-fuel-pump-solutions-a-side-by-side-comparisons-from-maperformance/
  8. A watch, under the rear seat. Wasn't the previous owners either, when I asked her.
  9. For what it's worth, I just went with the BC Golds. They were the best bang for buck. $1350 from hyper. The BC golds are handy because they have the adjustable top hats as standard for my car and they aren't all too stiff for daily driving. I had Bilstein coilovers in my previous car and they were very stiff, so it was a big concern for me when choosing a set this time. I've ben told the D2s are not very good, someone even told me that they probably wouldn't even get a cert (don't know why?). Replacement stock shocks would be great but I was told $700 a corner for those. Viperguys option sounds like a good idea. Honestly, the cert process is pretty much a waste of time and a big hassle for a singular thing like coilovers.
  10. I go to STM too but have heard good things about Ray Hartley.
  11. Changed the Spark plugs. Glad I don't have to do that too often
  12. Wouldn't mind fixing up my ones too. The previous owner made the rears a bit like grain waves
  13. Thanks. On that note, best to get PFR6G or the BKR7EIX plugs? - it's on a V7 STI with a tune. Heard you need to go colder on a tuned engine.
  14. Having stuttering/shuddering issues between 2000 and 3000 RPM. Most likely to be MAF or spark plugs? Or both? More noticeable when car is cold.
  15. Got it back from a friend who had been detailing it for the past 3 days.
  16. Need to get another set of brake pads. My V7 has the Subaru 4 pots on the front. Can anyone tell me what the DB or any number that I would need to find replacement pads? Specifically looking at the endless pads. Here is a spreadsheet with their models: http://www.endlessdata.info/Endless%20Brake%20Pads%20Price%20(1).pdf I think these would work too, right? http://ecat.ferodoracing.com/car-racing/brake-pads/FCP986 Brakes for reference:
  17. I prefer the Version 8 big spoiler and is what I'll be putting on if an original one ever pops up again
  18. I've always found firestone railway ave in Lower hutt to be the best price for tyres. They did drop one of my wheels on the face and tried to hide the fact they chipped the paint off, though.
