  1. Pretty sure a td05 one will work. Your local turbo guy should have one if you have no luck. All the vf are the same.
  2. You mean they came in a car that went thro compliance?
  3. @boostin is there a stipulated list or do some dealers run more margin on cost?
  4. Do it yourself dude. Pretty sure someone did a how to prob @Rosssub
  5. Guessing its not someone whos done one before. Even for me it was a 30min job. Would be max 60 minutes going very carefully which is what say 80+gst unless its a dealer at $120+gst or whatever. Cant imagine that was a dealer quote tho....
  6. 62mm face plate 60mm bore?
  7. Most tuners use their own wideband no point buying one unless you have an egg that can utilise it.
  8. Man you guys use lots of words to say something's a stink idea.
  9. I split the manifold loom on @Furze one , swapped/added avcs/cop loom and added a 3 pin Deutsch iirc. Kept it tidier than running 2 looms.
  10. It should have 98 in it so adding octane booster gives it a better chance of being 98 rather than 96 or 97.
  11. Run it low as you can them fill up with 98 and a bottle of octane booster. Let us know how it goes.
  12. Changing diff oil in a road car every 15000km is nonsensical. It's not smart to change oil heaps sooner than required it just short changes your pocket. Providing you use the correct oil, stick to the oem intervals there is nothing to be gained shortening the interval.
  13. @Subru has a v7 sti which means wiring up a mac valve gives him pretty much the same functionality as a link.
  14. Cheap chinese taps are S***. Decent ones like turbosmart are bloody good. Both are nothing like a proper closed loop system which link provide where the turbo comes on quicker as the gates kept shut till its required to open. There's no debate that a simple line from boost source to gate doesnt work just that its far from optimal.
  15. A wastegate external or internal is not an on/off switch. That's what the boost controller does. Stops the gate from opening until it meets target. If its so great with no real boost control why bother wiring up a solenoid for the link?
  16. Any copper or fibre washer will work. Try an engineering supplies or hydraulic shop.
  17. Without a decent boost controller electronic or manual the gate will crack open early bleeding off pressure better spent spooling the turbo. A 1 bar spring doesnt open at 1 bar, it opens progressively finishing at 1 bar.
  18. External still require a boost controller of sorts to bring boost on at a better ramp rate.
  19. Do you have a boost gauge and is all of the stock boost control in place? Plugs been changed lately? No codes? Should be running 98 fuel or it will be knocking its tits off.
