BE5 2000, just done lil bit more than 200,000kms. Replaced primary turbo at 189,000kms with a Forrester TD04 hybrid. Have owned the car for 5 1/2 years, brought it with 128,000kms on the clock. Best car I have ever owned
I need to replace the SRS module and clockspring due to the one in my car has fried somehow. Does anyone know whats involved in replacing this? Is this a straight swap, plug n play, or does the module need to be reprogrammed to suit the car?
Thanks
I know alot of people on here from Auckland recommend Highbrook Automotive, and I have heard great things about them as well. I used Innovate Subaru in East Tamaki for a turbo repair job and found them quite reasonable
Would an 02 sensor be a contributing factor? That issue seemed to come up alot on the UK legacy forum. My car is duue for a service, but its only 1000kms over due....Im sure that wouldnt be the sole reason drinking too much juice
Another random question...this time about fuel economy.
Now that my B4 is approaching the 200k mark, there are a number of issues that is popping up. Most of it is just general wear and tear and due to recent financial restraints, I havent been able to get on top of it. So its fair to say that things are starting to mount up
However....I have noticed over the last month my fuel economy has decreased drastically. I normally would get around about 450kms from a full tank of gas, now I get around 300 - 350kms.
What would cause a drastic drop in fuel economy? I love my car but this is seriously starting to get on my nerves!! Any advice or ideas to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated
Hmm intresting...I been told by someone else that I need H1 6000K bulbs, I have brought a set a couple of days ago and they look right.
But now I have a new problem...I have found the bottom of my inside headlight caps are screwed in place at the bottom
I have just blown one of my HID bulbs on my B4. Im just needing to know which spec bulb I\'d need to use as a replacement. I have never had HIDs before, any guidence would be great.
Thanks
Hey guys...dumb question!!!: Can a 1999 B4 (Rev B?) be fitted in place of a 2000 Rev C RSK EJ208 and fit onto the gearbox?
I have heard there is no real difference between the two specs, but Im double checking
Something that I have been told recently: If you have a VF31 that needs replacing, you can use a VF25 or VF26 in its place, and vice versa. The housing is exactly the same, the only difference is one of the turbine shafts is 1mm bigger in the VF31....I think its the back one, but I dont remember
Hey all....Ive just had my VF31 turbo give up and die on me, I have a VF25 as a temporary replacement just to keep my car going, but now I am thinking that maybe Id like to upgrade the turbos.
Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions that I could use to upgrade? Vehicle is a 2000 BE5 RSK-B4 Legacy 5 speed manual
