  1. tyre sets,"recommended" to replace in sets in 2 owners manuals I have to hand. but it is a good idea but not compulsory. you will not damage diffs by replacing 1 tyre as asked in the original post. if you think it will damage a diff you need to study diffs and how they work
  2. Too late m23 Google it,then you will know i have been playing with different types of diffs on 4wd cars for 40 years. I just wondered what the current batch of dreamers know
  3. how many outbacks have a viscous front diff? not talking front diff, talking centre as they are all connected. you tell me then
  4. how many outbacks have a viscous front diff?
  5. do a search for flywheel explosions, then think about a lightened flywheel versus a steell light weight flywheel
  6. I am not "stressing" as you put it. just trying to get people to think. but I give up. to the OP, I would not worry at all, that is one of the reasons that a diff is fitted to take up different rotational speeds
  7. just think about the word differential. understand hat it does. drive on
  8. great news, the car was found and arrests made apparently M23
  9. A friend of mine had his lotus cortina stolen from Kerikeri golf club on Wed 27/06/12 at about 15:00 hours. Spotted in Waipapa road soon after this. ECU help

i have a small car fitted with an Ej20t engine and have this problem. Turn key on and it goes through its POST then when you start the car the check engine light goes out then comes back on. My auto electrician has found that the (started running signal) for lack of a better desciption is not getting from the ECU to the CEL to turn itself off. So we need the pin outs for the ECU. This ECU has the following numbers on it 5W AD423 A18-000 0X8 8629 Have checked for faults and have none and also have used the OBD connector to confirm this. I hope I have made myself clear and thank you all for looking. M23 forgot to add as already shown engine is from a 97 forester and the ECU is 3 plug and yellow if it helps
