  1. Hi guys, Have had a look through the mongoose car alarm manuals already. Just wondering if there is a procedure that will disable the auto arming feature of the M60 alarm, i.e press button alarm activates...press button alarm deactivates and does not activate until I have pressed the button again? Edit - Also where's the best place to run a power line from firewall to the future sub in boot and under the carpet?? Sorry if in wrong forum. Cheers!
  2. Cheers guys, can confirm the stickered aerial looking thing accross the windscreen is indeed not an aerial radio still works!
  3. Hi everyone, The guys down at the WOF station decided that my windscreen crack is sufficiently large enough to fail me, so getting my windscreen replaced. Question is, how does the stickered aerial work with a new windscreen - is there a connection point where it can be disconnected from? I've had a quick search through the forums and couldn't find any info relevant, I`m also not sure if the replacement screen will come with the stickered aerial or not. Cheers,
  4. Has anyone come across guage pods that fit into the door side air vent? After a discreet look! Ive seen pods on ebay for a few VWs and STIs that look look, after one for a legacy BE that will slot in without any need for hacking.
  5. Hi all, just after some ideas for a possible fix, Have some aftermarket components installed on the front doors, sound response is real good - however when the volume is low - mid, have this annoying rattle from the door panels (i think) when low freq. gets played. Mainly from the left door panel, not sure if I dropped something down the glovebox and its rattling away. Is it a common problem? - Is that a part under the dash or panel that needs clamping down when installing better speakers? and if its the door panel should i just be stuffing material in there to take up the void? B4 "02 btw Side question - how good/useful is sound proofing?
  6. Hi, wanting some tips on the rubberish material around the door windows of the "02 legacy and general plastic parts (bonnet/wiper blade area) on the car. What\'s the best way to keep them looking new? Car is exposed to the elements lately and the rubberised and plastic areas are starting to fade in colour, are their products that will bring it back to looking near new again?
  7. =/ Ill have a look when Im less annoyed, but thanks, hopefully its not a major
  8. Hi, Driving on the motorway today, truck on the left with a site bin and unsecured load spat out a few pieces of timber bout 3m long and some reinf mesh. Luckily i managed to just hit the timber, which went under the left hand side underneath my vehicle. Front bumper got nailed and just noticed power light flashing on my dash. Not too worried about the bumper but the flashing power light has me a bit concerned, any way to diagnose what error it is with out taking it to a mechanic?
  9. Yea shouldn't be a problem, Ill pm you what time will be good - sometime tomorrow.
  10. Yup I am in Auckland, Waitakere area. When could you pick it up?
  11. Hi all, (Not sure where to post this, but I.C.E section seems appropriate) Got new head deck and speakers put in and the old factory ones got removed (plugged out not clipped). Was wondering if anyone was interested in taking the left overs off me, otherwise it will most likely end up being put out when the organics come around. Parts are from a Legacy "02 I have the - McIntosh headunit (still working) - McIntosh amp - Pioneer GPS/TV thingy with remote (not sure if its working or not) - Front splits with the ?plastic moulds/brackets? (Right side woofer has a tear on the outside edge of the diaphragm) - and the rears Would be good if someone can get some sort of use out of it Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  12. Hi Got a query about the fronts of my Legacy 2002 which are running of the Macintosh head unit and if anyone could shed some light, that would be good. Thinking about upgrading/changing the head deck, putting 6x9s in the back and new ?components? in the doors, and maybe getting it set up for a mid range sub in the boot. Dunno if it's just me or other people but since the day i got it, the front door seems to distort/vibrate the door pretty easily - uneven with the bass turned to +/-0. Will upgrading the fronts and putting in spacers get rid of the distortion/rattling against the door? And if i want the feeling of surround sound, will 6x9s in the back be decent enough? Annnnnd are the any advantages/disadvantages of getting 1 way/2 way/3 way etc 6x9s or is it just a clever marketing ploy? I'd normally just buy speakers/amp etc off trade me and shock myself/mess with frequencies until it sounds right, but might actually pay a professional to do it properly this time, so yeah not after a award winning setup, just some decent speakers that can play out all the frequencies and a head deck that is not spitting out mai fm 24/7. Any info or experiences would be good to know. Cheers!
