  1. 1999 WRX bought in 2002 with 34k kms traded in 2014 with 190k kms 2006 Legacy GT Spec B bought 2014 with 105k kms now has 130k kms
  2. If it's a 6 speeder look out for worn gear shift bushes. I have one the same colour only issue I had was these worn bushes seems to be a common wear item with them.Otherwise it's all been good. Mines stock no mods.
  3. Yeah nice kit but I'm tight for cash so just looking for the bushes themselves at the moment.Looks like Cobb do them Thanks
  4. Hi All I've been told the gearshift bushes are worn and need replacing. Can anyone tell me what new ones are worth and how much it would roughly cost to replace and install new ones. 2006 Leggy 6 speed Cheers
  5. Hmmmm......no reputations from me....... I can speak personally of the disminishing workmanship I got from the other TRG Subaru specialist.
  6. For comparison maybe try H&N Automotive for a quote to....generally a bit cheaper than others in TRG.
  7. Coming from WRX the seat's are it's weakest point IMO. Normal day to day driving they're OK but start pushing and there's no lateral support.
  8. Mines done 110K KMS Cambelt was done at 105K KMS so I'm happy having not worry about that. Manuals seem to be a couple thousand more in price and much harder to come by than the autos.
  9. Lots of good information here thanks. Picked up a JDM 2006 GT Spec B about a month ago moved on from an MY99 WRX. Still learning small bits and pieces about the Leggy having never owned one. Will try out that alarm thing today. Have to say I'm loving the 6 speed manual over the old 5 speeder in the WRX.
  10. Research I\'ve done indicates the opposite bell mouth with splitter performs better.Prodrive started putting splitters in down pipes years ago.Keeping the wastegate gases out of the path of the gases coming off the turbo is a better option.
  11. Saw a vid of one up against a current model STI at Anglsea track in the UK. It walloped the STI.....
  12. My pick XR6T.....easy to get some big power out of if thats you thing, built quality bewteen the 2 are much the same.
  13. I though it was a prety well known trick when building big-ish HP EJ motors. Engine builders in the US & OZ have done for a number of years.
  14. Kumho KU31\'s are a good reasonable priced tyre, been using them on my car and no complaints at all..
  15. Mines NZ new 4 pots standard 294 mms on the front and vented rotors with sliding calipers on the rear My99.
  16. Try Torqued Performance if you can be bothered logging your car\'s data Eric there is very helpful probably has more experience that anyone in NZ with late model STI\'s. Worth investigating, well i would if i were in your position, plenty threads on Rexnet.com.au about his results do a search there.
  17. Mystique Blue Streaks....wife has them on her Corolla...hard as hell, never wear out, treadwear index is something like 400 perfect for shopping trolleys, beleive they are actually manufactured by Goodyear in Asia somewhere.
  18. Yep checked the fuses first they\'re all good. Don\'t own a soldering iron etc....i\'ll get an auto sparkie to look at it i suppose.
  19. Hi Guys As per title the little digital clock stopped working, i was reading on another fourm that it could just be a light bulb behind it thats gone. Is it an easy fix, auto electrictian could do it fairly quickly ? Any in Tauranga you could recommend ? Thanks
  20. Sweet thanks.....nope it was someone else. Down in that ditch behind New World you mean ?
  21. Hi recently acquired an MY99 WRX absolutely stock with 175k kms. Had to do the clutch since getting it and was not happy with the treatment from the workshop that was recommended to me (not mentioning any names here). Can anyone here recomend a trustworthy Subaru specialist in TRG ?. Car is due for AFM replacement i think, as the one on this model suck or so i\'ve been told, also maybe cambelt/tensioner & idler wheel at the same time these have been done once before but thats it, according the the previous owner should i be worried about this ?. Any experts here tell me what else i should be looking at on a car of this age. I\'ll be keeping is stock for at least the next year or so. Sorry for so many question i\'d just like to get the car running sweet
