Hi fam, I've bought a BE5 legacy. 157 k's. pretty tidy condition therefore couldn't resist buying it. forgot to check if A/c works fine. but after driving it for 2 days, i turn on a/c or headlight on at night, the CEL comes on and goes away, idle drops, is the alternator on its way out ? i put voltage meter on the alternator and it does read 14.4 volts when running. oh also i had bought a new battery since the car was parked more than 4 months by previous owner. any suggestions or known common issues on this ? thanks in advance

Anyone done this before ? I have V10 sti cluster, the only plug that doesn't fit is the one above fuel gauge and dccd. have read threads from Nasioc but want to confirm if JDm models are the same as USdm ones they talking about.

thanks boon for that Yeah since USdm is "left hand drive" the brake booster doesn't get in the way of the rotated setup (won't let turbo sit in booster will hit) I found out today unless if someone is deleting brake booster then it'll be direct fit. Yeah i forgot to clarify about "JDM fitment" at the time of purchase, the reason i wanted perrin rotated up pipe was the turbo sits low and flanges were already on them and will speed up my setup process, oh well made an error learnt the hard way haha anyone deleted their brake booster or went different setup for the brake/pedal etc?

So yeah made a bad purchase, forgot to confirm fitment. Bought a Perrin up pipe and it was for usdm market. Wondering if anything could be done or otherwise it'll be up for sale. Probably not much usdm cars here I guess ?

Same boat here, V7 Sti. Engine had run a bearing & rebuild done by previous owner,engine done 2000k's in my ownership and then went for a tune by Pappu. everything was fine and then a week after went for runs with pappu again to check for knocks or any other issues if present nothing found, pulled fine till the road ended and then had to slow down, when put car in neutral engine would die out, then engage it in gear runs but no acceleration, few moments later hear knocks. have yet to pull engine out and send it to Marc

Hardly. Used to live on a busiest street on mt Wellington, car used to be park on driveway, so that might have got the attention.

Didn't know which section to post not really a stolen car but got a call from Mount Wellington police this morning. They have arrested some offenders and apparently my cars were one of their tagerted list. Officer has said that they ain't normal but high skilled theives. Thought to post this and make people aware.

while we are on this topic, i have been told(tuner)and read on a forum too, the two following is examples of bad and good intercooler. Good Bad there might be a thread about intercoolers,cbf looking them up. Opinions will be nice from other members( don't shoot me i am a newbie )
