  1. yeh its a bolt on unit, its a kass and they were made by a guy here in NZ. as always its a piece of good old kiwi engineering and is alot nicer than thos ikeya ones. ill get some pics up tomorrow.
  2. ok i have in my boxes of fun stuff a kass sequential shifter. does any1 know much about them? i tried to fit it to my v5 sti gearbox and i could not get it to work ??? so that leads me to think that since they were made long b4 the v5 that it must only work on the older gearboxes? any info on this or even the difference between the gearbox that may cause it not to work on the v5 box would be awsome. cheers
  3. ive always found that putting a microwave sensor on the alarm that triggers the alarm to go off after giving a few warnings to move away from the car is always a good thing as it will set the alarm off without even letting the theif even touch the car. and i dont care if it gives people a fright when they walk past it in the carpark at pak n save lol. also i always take the dash out of the car and install the alarm with kills to the ecu so that the only way to get to the alarm is to take the dash back out, not so easy to do when the alarm is going off. installing the kill on the ignition is a lazy practice that all alarm installers do and only takes 30 seconds and pliers to get around. also i always park my car in a spot that it cant be pulled up onto a flat deck truck when its parked at home. just a few tricks ive done so hope that helps u out a bit.
