  1. Ok, So I decided to start to get parts sorted for the single turbo conversion on my GTB BG5, looking at upgrading to a podfilter. Now there are rumours about the K&N (RR-3001) that because it's oiled it ruins the AFM, I quesioned this to K&N supplier and was told that it only ruins the AFM as people don't oil them properly and tend to over oil them. So looking at the RR-3001 as a possibility, what else should I look at performance wise, APEXI vs K&N, vs a HKS? I've also been told that the K&N RR-3001 has a 3" neck and there is little room in a Subaru without relocating the AFM. Basically i'm just looking for something with decent performance gains and 'bolt on' with adaptor. Without going to the hassle of relocating the whole AFM etc. This is going in a BG5 Legacy. Any help would be great, i've read through the previous forms but doesn't really give me any evidence to suggest the reasons or even personal experience given the information above. THanks,
  2. Depending how dead empty it was and the fuel pump.. my skyline took $40 worth of gas, before it wanted to start. Never letting that passed the orange light again
  3. Below is the gromets im talking about. Do thease just bolt in? Tyre Well: Down Side where rail slides into:
  4. and another reason you should use genuine subaru cam cover seals. From This: Hours of cleaning.. To this:
  5. They way I thought if it increased the power by more than 10-15%? It needed to be certified? Is this going to VTNZ? For WOF?
  6. Another stupid question, does this need to be certified? Twin turbo to single turbo?
  7. Cool thanks, so no drilling required at all. I've already got my rear bumper off so i'll post some pics tomorrow.

We are going off-topic.. it's about making a see through bonnet. Would you wax or use plastic cleaner? Streak free glass cleaner?
  9. Thanks Joker, that answers the question about towing a boat. Any photos on how it's attached to the car exactly? (obviously bolted)

That would be the way to go.. wun could also use gladwrap and cover it with clear resin/epoxy. For that lightweight see through effect.

I just read this whole thread.. (it's ok though because i'm at work) 8) anyway.. I wasn't aware that they now accept 'txt' speak in NCEA? That is absolutely ridiculous, no wonder these kids are so dumb these days. As for me personally 'wun' wouldn't be 'txt speak' as someone pointed out it's three letters.. how many letters does the word 'one' have.. *waits for funny reply*
  13. Hey guys, I've been searching and searching for information on a genuine factory fitted towbar for a BG5 Wagon. What i'm wanting to know is i've had a look on my wagon (GTB BG5 TT (soon to be single) Manual) and noticed quite alot of rubber gromets / holes etc not being used by the tail gate. Obviously the body is identical to one factory fitted. What i'm wanting to know is. a) Is a Subaru factory fitted towbar direct bolt on into these holes? ie. no drilling etc. b) What is the towing capcity on these? Will it be fine to tow a 15-16ft boat, 20 minutes up the road. Single axel two wheel trailer. c) If anyone has one can they post some pictures on how it's actually bolted up? Thanks guys,
  14. Yeah I got this, can anyone confirm this is related to the green plug under dash RHS? As when I plus this in it goes nuts, and makes a weird sound. I think iv'e figured this out..] I'll find the thread when I get home from work about this I asked ages ago (years)
