  1. The length of the Eg33 does make it very tight to fit a decent radiator and fans.
  2. Nice job. A lot to be gained by sorted out the up pipe to turbo porting. Amazing more after market up pipes don't fit the stock flange well at all.
  3. I have ran 2+ bar on the roger clark head gaskets with there extreme head studs. For well over a year now. I will do the same on my next build. Very high quality stuff.
  4. I have had good luck with the rogerclark "special" HG. Similar to the multi later steal sti ones. But a bit more refined.
  5. I used virtual dyno for a few years. Good for comparisons as long as you use the same bit of road. Very good bit of software.
  6. Highlands, 1:57 GF8 on Semi slicks.
  7. Thats bloody impressive!! Keen to see how a set of c51 Slicks is going to last!
  8. Im currently running 255 Federal 201 slicks. But I'm not overly impressed! Tony has hooked me up with some new Hankook 235 slicks! So I'm excited to give these a go! These will be used purely track racing, Probably a few more laps than most semis could handle.
  9. Best place I have found to contact the is through Facebook. "Snail turbo". We currently have two snail compressors running on gtx3071 and they go very well. Tempted to try a 3582 with their core!
  10. I have ran both. The snail turbos are good. Can get genuine Garrett core. Or recently they just made their own cartridge. I run a Garrett based gtx30 with a snail compressor. And I love it. We also got a custom gtx titanium compressor made too. The stuff they are making is first class. My replacement will be a snail turbo for sure. I believe they designed and make the gtx wheels for Garrett.
  11. I am pushing just over 300kw on stock sti V3 heads..... But... For sure the heads are not helping. Port the hell out of them and add a Cam I reckon.
  12. Do some research mate, Snail did the R&D for Garretts GTX style compressor, And pretty sure the compressors are still manufactured in Snails Factory (SUMALAYA). I bought a genuine Garrett from them but with a custom Compressor wheel. These guys know what they are doing. Their in house turbos are a bit of a unknown quantity, But seeing the quality they are putting out. I would happily replace my genuine garrett with their in-house cartridge.
  13. Also check out Snail turbo on eBay. These guys make OEM stuff for garrett, and just start making their own cartridges to improve on garrets design, I have one of there "older" garrett turbo but using their own Compressor wheel. These guys know what they are doing. And make a brand spanker for about 1200usd. We even got a custom titanium GTX style compressor from them.
  14. Some good head studs too. RCM makes some "extreme" studs. Good for 2+ Bar happily. Stock or even ARP can lift at high boost and stuff the head gasket.
  15. Hi, Im looking at changing from semi's to full slicks. Currently I am running 255 Federal 201's and looking for something more sticky. I have 17" 8J and 9J wheels. What would you guys recommend, Looking for something stickier than the Semi's but also with a good life span! Thanks
  16. You had no problem on slicks with a good wet sump?!
  17. On a semi side note, How are you guys keeping the OIL temps down?! My track car normally sites around 110 on the track, even with a big Oil cooler?!
  18. MCA also suggestion ditching the whiteline anti roll bars and bump steer kit. They suggested the stock setup was better. Allowing the car to move around a little. I may try the softer setting on the roll bars before sealing for the tiny oem unit though!!
  19. As above? Anyone running these on a Impreza? I have just ordered a set for my GF8, to replace my BC. Curious how other people have found them. Dan
  20. Also keen to know the options for the GC8!
