  1. @Omsin nice work! What was the sound difference like afterwards?
  2. Replaced the breaking down filter in my AOS, and put a new O-ring in. Went for a blat and then my silicone turbo outlet hose blew off.. again.. The worst job to put back on, but got it done. With the AOS fixed, my AFRs are a lot leaner now, maybe 0.5 more lean compared to before. Anyone care to explain? My logic is: less oil getting burned, therefore leaner mixture (my tuner and I have been gradually taking fuel out in places over the last 6 months). Does more oil getting burned make AFR richer or leaner?
  3. I've got a V7 intercooler for sale yup. The clutch master is the original v5 though sorry, so can't help there. @blitzd808
  4. @Andy_Mac I was going to, unless i could sell the whole turbo setup - downpipe, uppipe and intake. Not sure how they'll fit in the leggy though bro
  5. It very well could be for sale @Andy_Mac!
  6. Let me just go pull a few notes off the money tree outside aye
  7. 7163 man. Will give you some room on tap with e85 for future, bigger power quests
  8. @Gripless He can't fit a 3" off the turbo - no space for now. But it expands to a 4" downpipe at about where the headers are
  9. That'll do it. Weld v-band flange on the 3" side and its Christmas. Thats off ebay. Surely will be some NZ variants floating around
  10. @boon yeah that'll be the challenge aye. Will try make 4" work lol
  11. Basically. I read somewhere in the original post that the best match would be 1.5 times your turbine wheel diameter. So for me its 70mm turbine x 1.5 = 105mm or 4.1" So ELI5 - Get the largest possible downpipe you can fit in there F1 cars basically run no exhaust - turbo outlet is the exhaust. That would be the best you can get. So for our street cars, just largest possible downpipe.
  12. Yeah man. Think i'll do full 4" to my current 3" downpipe with a taper when i eventually upgrade turbos.
  13. Most likely. If i understood correctly form the article, even though the turbine outlet is 3" you will still get big gains from increasing the diameter of the downpipe. The larger cross sectional area of the downpipe means the highly turbulent air post turbine has more room and length to sort itself out, as apposed to being jammed through a 3" the whole way. This reduces back pressure and should increase spool and power. The dyno figures to back it on his post are just nuts.
  14. Aren't all EFRs 3" vband outlet?
  15. This read blew my mind a little. Basically talks about how a larger diameter downpipe can give massive improvements to spool and power. Hopefully you can access the link below. Great afternoon tea read! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=985989948244194&id=630429603800232
  16. What we looking at here @Andy_Mac for the uneducated?
  17. Sorry to see and hear what happened @McMatty . Glad everyone is ok man. Hoping insurance sorts you out bro
  18. Ce28n so dam nice. Or mark v looks nice too if you dont like dish
  19. What actually!? So you can get a set for retail aus price here in nz without having to pay for shipping and customs from overseas!?
  20. Following this thread with keen interest!
  21. Yeaaaaahp free plug if you want it, is available
  22. I dunno aye. I hate the Kiwami's lol. Not sure what people see in them. Guess that's why we all get different wheels though aye, taste. IMO, figure out what function you want out of them - race, street roller etc. If they are just for cruising around then they don't need to be light. But a light set of wheels, albeit pricier, make a big difference with less unsprung weight. My new wheels are 1 inch wider, and running 265s vs 245s, and weight only went up 200g per wheel.
  23. Fitment wise i think you'd have a better time with like a +40 to +45 offset (not sure about inner clearance though). When i first put my wheels on, they stuck out just over a cm from the front guard lol. Running the lower camber bolt at max, and coilovers are set on zero. Lots of guard rolling to make it fit (if you want to run a lower setup). But yeah, couldn't be happier with these Rays gramlights! They are.. wait for it.. extremely light!
  24. That is freaking mental! Just look at that monstrous wall of torque! 😮 Epic work @gotasuby !
