  1. Unfortunately i bought it before they became dealers aye, so paid way more through another company. @mlracing.co.nz will be able to sort for ya at their dealer rates now.
  2. Invidia downpipe and Q300 catback exhaust sounded sick on my car: Best of both worlds IMO. Not insanely loud, just right. When you're on it, sounds fabulous.
  3. I use and Escort Passport 9500ix. It's pretty good, but I've been driving past heaps of cops lately without the ka band going off. Not sure if they don't have their radar on or if they have new radar that can't be detected. It picks up laser pretty well too.
  4. Haven't researched it myself, but would be awesome to see some actual results based comparisons aye. ID stuff is sooooooooooooooo expensive.
  5. I'm dying to hit up Hamptons if at all possible!? Taupo would be cool too
  6. +1 for getting it tuned, My old version 8 when i bought it did exactly the same. Had an exhaust but no tune and it constantly overboosted. As @boon said, new panel filter, 3-port, fuel pump for good measure and proper dyno tune. Car will be a street animal. Sure @PBMS will be able to do something for you if you say you're from clubsub and do the lot with them
  7. @BattleSnayke yeah bro pretty much aye!
  8. @pl0x mine munched about 3 fuel pumps. Didn't have as many issues on idle i don't think. Idle is actually a bit funky now with the surge tank setup. But not a biggie. I think the complexity about modifying the stock cradle is to do with not messing up the venturi that draws fuel from the other side of the tank. Not sure how you solve that when hacking away at it. If you have a solution for that, then hack it up and always keep the tank full - cheap fix
  9. Thinking go with this aye. https://www.racetech.co.nz/shop/seats/RT1000-motorsport-seats Reckon?
  10. Shot thanks team. The racetechs do look very nice. Just need figure out how to get em installed now
  11. @sobanoodle i'm clearly showing my lack of knowledge on the subject here hahaha Guess by hardcore racecar seat i mean uncomfortable to drive in the weekends, and 6 point hardness etc.. lol
  12. Cheers guys! Definitely more inclined to get a fixed back one. How do the rails work? Do you need to find a subaru specific one that works for each brand? Or will any of those sparco / racetech seats fit into my current rails?
  13. haha yeah for sure @sobanoodle Have sat in a the GRB recaro. Its pretty good! Ideally want a little more bucket than that if possible?
  14. Hey guys. At my last track day, I was flying all around my factory seat in my GVB 2011 STI Sedan. Cornering was hard, trying to stop myself from sliding away plus focusing on driving lol. Have you guys got a any recommendations for a good bucket seat? I know nothing in this area yet. Good / bad brands etc. Not after a hardcore racecar life seat. After one that is still comfortable and adjustable, but still keeps you nicely locked in on a track day. If such even exists?
  15. Cheers man! Turned out to be like $60 buck landed, so ordered the Supispeed one instead
  16. Hey guys. Resurrecting this sorry - anyone have this said funnel i could borrow to bleed out my cooling system? https://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/collections/new-parts/products/subaru-radiator-bleeding-kit
  17. Hampton downs would be an amazing track to get on, if at all possible
  18. If you are getting the car tuned, then 100% gull force 10. Factory tune - BP98 Don't think the lines etc get affected much, unless you don't drive the car for like a year.
  19. Ask a reputable tuner as well like maybe @PBMS or @Tony from Dtech, they might be able to help. If you aren't tuned for gull force 10, i would personally run BP98. If you were going to get it tuned, then definitely on gull force 10, you'll get a tad more power with added knock resistance. You definitely won't be as economic on force 10 vs BP98 on factory tune. Not even sure if factory tunes account for 10% ethanol, so i'd argue you won't be performing optimally ether. I'm no expert though.
  20. Hey guys. Whom have you found in Auckland to be exceptional with their panel and paint work? I know GT refinishers are good. After someone that is really good at plastic welding to fix some bits with my front bumper, and add on some dark plastic to cover off a few cms near the intercooler end tanks. Also need the usual respray of the bumper itself. Any other suggestions?
  21. Yeah this topic is quite confusing. So many mixed opinions. My Perrin AOS has its breather plumbed into the intake which confuses me as oil can go back into the intake and into the turbo. I get heaps of black soot out of exhaust every time i do cold start now. Not sure if cos of aos plumbing or just forged motor build. But yeah, would have thought you would not want oil vapours going back into the intake
  22. Haha fair enough. Cheers guys
  23. I still haven't got mine done, as the car has been out of action for most of this year. Only booking i could get at wingers was for mid Jan next year. How unsafe is it running around with them in there in this summer heat?
  24. @Andy_Mac na man you can buy it. I need money haha. Just need to grow a pair and figure out removing it from my car
