  1. Breakdown: Labour - 5h @ $89 = $445 (replace steering rack bushes, strip engine bay, lift engine, replace gaskets, reassemble & clean, align headlights) Steering Rack Bushes - $68 Rocker Cover kit - $135.48 Total (incl. GST, shipping and materials) = $761
  2. @B4 I was 250T didn't you do yours the other day? I like Crowesport, friendly, prompt, very easy to deal with, honest and open.
  3. yea, bit rough... but it needed to be done... The cost of convenience/getting someone else to do it
  4. (paid someone to) replace rocker cover gaskets and steering rack bushes (failed wof on the later).... I think my credit card is almost on fire...
  5. Hornby has at least one TT currently, intake and exhaust headers have been removed so the turbos are just sitting there
  6. Installed a reversing camera and a review mirror with a screen in it. Time consuming, but struck no problems
  7. I almost reckon its an awareness thing. After the CHCH eqs everyones wheels were going out of alignment. The idea has sorta filtered out across the country. People are more aware of their alignment in other parts of the country and the wheel shops have capitalized on a very quick and easy income source.
  8. No way do i trust the carrier to 'lock' the bike. If you wanted to take my bike(s) off my roof, you'd be walking off with the bike chained (cabled) to each other and to the roof bars
  9. Thule 591 not cheap, but goddammit its worth it (nearly $1k on my roof). So bloody easy to carry bikes, totally worth every cent
  10. and you could get them all keyed the same, i have three different keys, one for each piece, EDIT: if you could lock them -facepalm-
  11. We are (were) almost twins.... same wheels, I removed my plasti dip on Saturday, almost same roof rack (i've two thule carriers and whispbar bars), i've clear side repeaters, you've smoked... never realized how similar
  12. Took the plastidip off my wheels... sorta sad... Now the wheels show all the curbing ect ect... what the rough cost for wheels to be repaired (CHCH)?
  13. hmm.. that's what the online quote said... got a ryco one instead. Does the job! Mine wasn't that bad but it did have a pube or two.... makes you wonder...
  14. Yea, might give Armstrongs a call on monday and see what they can do
  15. cheers... $45 + $60 shipping from partsouq... no thanks haha
  16. Does anyone have the part number for a genuine or a link to a suitable alternative for the cabin air filter that lives behind the glove box? Google Fu or partsouq browsing has been unsuccessful so far.
  17. Must be the season to do painting. Repainted my grill last week, happy with the results for $12 spray paint
  18. Took my grill off to sand off the flaky chrome parts and repaint it. Ended up having to take the ENTIRE bonnet off to get the grill off as on of the bolts wouldn't come out. Ended up being a oscillating multitool, grinder, drill job... fml... Got the grill off, gave it a real good sand, put the first lot of primer on, will put another cost on this arvo, then hopefully sand and paint tomorrow. I was also very surprised at just how light my bonnet was. I knew it was light, but not that light
  19. My (limited) advice would be to make sure you have a straight pair of circlip pliers (seperator) like these: Rather than an angled pair like these (like I did):
  20. I will only do it again if I can get a hoist... honestly, the bloody circlip at the bottom gave me so much trouble
  21. Fitted a short shift.... never doing that again....
