If you have a fully atmospheric valve, you'll need a plug for the recirculation hose. Pretty easy mod, though i wouldn't really worry too much about a bov when you have an air flow metre. Id get a good quality recirculation valve. That's my opinion though.
Pics?!
I have an 02 Forester XT. Recently lowered it on Tein sport springs on factory shocks. Got about a 50mm drop. Also put an Forester STI rear sway bar on. Looks far more like a wagon and feels less boaty. Also just bought a V7STI intercooler and a STI Forester intercooler splitter. Should hopefully get it fitted this weekend.
Highly recommend the handling mods.
Interested in buying this sad little Muffler: https://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/products/muffler-sti-genome-forester-01-08
Can it be revived or is it doomed to be a rusty dented paper weight for the rest of its existence?
Finally finished lowering the Forester. After many broken tools and much frustration. Although I did learn more about the car and that quality tools are a must. Second picture is the stock height.
Those lower bolts are tighter than a camels arse in a sand storm. I broke two extension bars and a ratchet trying to get mine off last night. Off to repco for a breaker bar and 19mm impact socket today!
Does anyone know where to get a caliper repair kit in nz? Specifically for this one bolt which, uh, my friend broke...
I really need to get one asap. I mean, my friend does....
"It is designed for motorsport use only & should not be used for extended periods as it may lead to premature chassis wear."
How hard do you have to be cruising on a Sunday avo to wear the chassis with these?
You don't need a certification unless the suspension is adjustable or the vehicle has to be modded to make the suspension fit. I.e a direct bolt in from factory should be sweet. It'll be all stated on the low volume vehicle site: http://www.lvvta.org.nz/
