I'm looking at buying an 08 outback xt 2.5 turbo and need some advice as to its suitability to my requirements. I need a car for general family with a little towing and had been looking at the 2007 gen h6 outback when I came across an 08 outback 2.5 turbo that I stupidly test drove and really liked I'm just not sure how good the cooling system is? I'll be towing about 2 long trips a year of about 400km each and will be towing an 1100kg caravan with an aditional 400kg extra in boot and van so around 1500kg+ the family and will be going over the south island passes. I'm happy to fit a trans cooler to remove the extra heat that the radiator takes form the transmission. I'm just unsure if this would be enough ? Does anyone have any experience towing with a 2.5 turbo? Thanks
