  1. hmm will check , sure theres no leak.. Thanks!
  2. Thanks man will have a look when I have time.. Nice Rs u have btw
  3. No.. I think the previous owner removed it.. What just the bulb in the cluster or ??????? PS that quote of saying the previous owner removed the diag check made my day haha... yeah its abit syupid I guess... I cant find nothing under the dash board for diag test..
  4. No.. I think the previous owner removed it..
  5. I have already replaced the AFM .. Thanks tho!
  6. hey guys, I dunno why my 91 legacy miss fires when driven. even on idle, car loses power then turns off it self some times(on cold start). while driving, when I put my foot on the excellerator, car loses power then picks up power and loses and so on.. not much power but turbo still spools up as usual.. could it be knock sensor , 02 sensor, MAF causing this problem?
  7. Hey guys would 17x7 5x100 45p fit on a 91 legacy? my car is lowerd has 4pot brakes on the front Thanks
  8. Yeah ither way the gate is going to close when you take your foot off the gas. (spring pressure) as mentioned above swap the hoses over Gate one and gauge one and shud be fine. The flutter is coming from the pressure chages in that boost hosee (turbo outlet) due to the bov not opening correctly or cant flow enough air. You wont get the flutter through the gauge when you swap the hoes over cus the throttle butterfly will block the pressure changes and ul just get a nice vac reading (wich is correct). And the wastegate doesnt need vacume so it will be happy just coming off that pressure hose where your gauges is in the first pic. hey thanks! I changed them today. the gauge hose was abit small to fit on the fat one where wastegate use to be on,, I did put them on but the hose isnt all the way in, its half way in. it is tight tho
  9. Yeah I was thinking wtf has happend here as dont seem usual as others.. but the hose for wastegate is too big to fit on the turbo. maybe I need to get a smaller vaccuum hose for the wastegate? but I dont know how wastegate is working fine and boost gauge is reading 12psi which is right..
  10. hahaha yes I agree, autogauge is S*** , will try to sort the plumbs tomorow.. Thanks!!
  11. Im not sure what boost controll it is but I guess its standard as old owner didnt state he had changed the boost controller. but I see the hose from the bottom of the boost controller is plumbed onto the intake pipe. Sorry, Im not expert on boost controller, wastegate, vaccuum etc..
  12. my external wastegate is plumbed here on the thick one middle one plumbs the blow off valve and the other one is plumbed on this below: the thinner one
  13. so the flutter noise(form gauge as needle bounces) and bouncing gauge needle is normal? It is just a AutoGauge .
  14. It is plumed onto the turbo
  15. Hey guys, I have a boost gauge in my car, had it since when I got this car, But I noticed that unlike other boost gauge they install with T-fitting, My car boost gauge hose is from intake vaccuum to boost gauge only(No T-fitting).. and when I boost, gauge goes up and when I take foot off, I see gauge needle bouncing up and down really fast and can hear flutter noise from the gauge.. Is this normal?
  16. Okay cheers, thanks for the info mate
  17. Hi guys, I have a 91 legacy rs with a v3 RA gbox in it, I am trying to get some Cv's but is there difference between wrx and legacy cvs? I have RA drive shafts aswell. Seller says Legacy CVs are 8mm longer than wrx's cv but last time I had wrx cv's on the car. is this true??
  18. yeah I guess its on soft so the springs not stiff enough.. but when I had 2 springs in it, even on the softest, valve didnt seem to open as I heard flutter.. and yes, the bov valve is abit opened on idle and idles rough, then I shut it down with my fingers, idles normal. I will try adjusting it to hard and get back to you tomorow, Thanks for helping out man! ;D
  19. um im sure I havent because it is a greddy type rs so didnt even bother to take the piston out
  20. Got the car running for about 1~2minutes then started going back to normal idle, but I was pretty sure it was an air leak somwhere, and I found out that the bov is opened at idel and air has been coming out through it, and when I press the gas paddle, engine revs bounces down and up few times then goes back to normal. but bov is shut when engine is off, when I was rebuilding the bov because before there was compressor surge and could hear fluttering, in the bov there was 2 springs, one stronger than the other, So I took the softer one out because I thought the bov wasnt opening, Now I can hear bov when release paddle while driving, but air leaks out of it..
  21. nope.. I loosened it to see if it makes any differance, but it doesnt...
  22. oh.. sorry I actualy had 11's in it then now got 0.8mm ones
  23. I also took the crank angle, camshaft position sensors out and wiped it with a rag
  24. Hi everyone! I got my car to start after changing the spark plugs and the coil packs. Spark plugs were BKR6EIX before but I found out that BKR6EIX-11 were for turbo cars so, I now got BKR6EIX-11's on the car, Coils packs were second had but they are working well. Anyways, now when I start the car up it first revs at about 1500rpm for about 2~3secs then goes up and up to 2500rpm.. and stays there.. While I was changing the plugs, I removed the throttle body to clean it with a rag, and removed the excelerate cable off the throttle. What maybe the problem?
  25. but I got the car starting now .. ???
