    I'm actually unsure, it all happened quite quickly. Although it kept running, albeit with no power at all, right up until I shut the engine off when the oil light came on.

    That's like me, I have 4 sets of first gen RS wheels now I think... Yesterday I finally pulled down the engine that I seized mid stage a month or so back, I found a hole in the block, and this. Yes, that's the top of the piston completely split off.... Turns out it was a closed deck block too, RIP... New build time!

    Hey all, building new motor, and the one thing I done have is a crank. EJ20G, new rods, new pistons all forged. Should I just source a second hand crank? (anyone have one for sale?) Or is it possible to still buy new and if so, would anyone have the part number and an idea on price? Thanks!

    Those gauges look awesome, and ouch at that tyre... For me, not today, but this past weekend I entered another rally sprint, was great fun and got a good photo of me! until I seized the engine mid-stage on the 3rd run, so back on the trailer and back into the garage it goes

    That SD1 looks 100% identical to my grandparent's old one, same color and everything, I quite liked it and was very tempted to buy it when they sold it a few years back.

    I believe some say it's because they may have all their mods etc listed online, and if someone sees the plates on the street and have seen it online, they may steal it/or parts etc. I personally don't usually bother masking plates.

    Can anyone recommend a good company that will insure <25 year olds? Used to be with NAC, but got sick of paying $100 a month for insurance on a lightly modified FTO, yet I could get insurance cheaper for my RS RA. Need to insure the FTO, and the Rally car. Tried Classic cover, but they won't insure the either due to my age

    Get one from a reputable rally supplier then, as they should be designed to be used in a rally so should easily cope with 200KM/h etc. In theory...
