  1. I was thinking similar at one point, but then when you when about it, from factory it all vents into one spot from factory, don't they?
  2. Ouch A mate helped me build a oil catch can for the rally car today, one more thing ticked off the list.
  3. Crazy price, but wow looks like it was built yesterday...
  4. Awesome! I've been keeping an eye on him with his 6A13 engine, as I was going to do the same, but didn't realise that he's AWD now! I should really have a chat to him one day. Do you know of any footage of it running? Can't access that one
  5. So turns out, they won't insure a rally car or the FTO for anybody under 25... Any suggestions of other companies? Previously had the FTO with NAC, but that was a bit over 1K /year...
  6. I might have to give them a call, Need to sort insurance for the rally car, and the FTO, both of which most companies won't touch... My only worry with Classic Cover is that i'm under 25, but will see what they say tomorrow I guess.
  7. Yup, I've done that before. The RA was supposed to be my weekend toy, and was almost a daily by the end.... Boost is just too addictive!
  8. I love it, it's not fast, albeit a little quick, but handles great and is just generally nimble.
  9. Ooh nice! First car I bought would be my 1996 FTO GPX, and thakfully still own. As I purchased it:
  10. Didn't do anything on the Subies, but got the FTO running for the first time in over a year. Ran the old engine low on oil pressure back in 2015 and killed it, so this past week I finally assembled the replacement engine and got it all in. Dropped it in for a WOF this morning, so keen to start driving it again!
  11. Well they've had that spare engine on a stand in the workshop for a while now, so here's hoping!
  12. Correctamundo I had one in the RA when I had it, you can kind of see the gauge in this video. You'll find the bung a meter or so after the turbo:
  13. Not Subaru related, but got the replacement engine and gearbox into the FTO that's been broken for nearly 2 years. Hoping to get it done before my new RS arrives (Hopefully this week) Really looking forward to driving this again, it may not be fast but it's a lot of fun.
  14. Also try dry cleaners, they quite often sell second hand 100% cotton overalls for $20 or so, a few friends got theirs from there for local car club events.
  15. Put the suspension back into the RS and got it running right for the first time in a while, then backed it out of the garage and backed it back in so now it's ready to have the engine pulled, in anticipation for a new shell I'll hopefully be getting...
  16. Thanks guys, I got the link in last night, but having issues connecting, so trying to find my spare brand new USB cable.... The good news is that the car starts on it, so the ECU isn't stuffed, I just think the USB cable may be playing up. Will try the pull up resistor as soon as I can connect though. Thanks.
  17. Hey, So I've asked on the Link forums, but thought I may ask here too. Has anybody else had an issues with the V2/RS Plugin ECU not reading your speed sensor? I've had this on two vehicles so far, and in both cases they've had the Mechanical Speedo, and that works perfectly fine. I will be putting the link into another RS this week, and will find out if that also will have the same issue. I'm considering swapping to an electronic cluster just to get a direct wire to the ECU from the speed sensor, but still unsure on this as well. Thanks,
