  1. A friend of mine had the same model Megane I believe (maybe the previous gen)...sold it because the maintenance costs were killing him (clutch going was the straw the broke the camels back from memory). Sold it and bought a Mazadspeed turbo and hasn't had to do anything to it since he bought it.

Audi S4's are a sexy car. For similar kms and age it would cost more than double what I got the BR9 for...think I'll be sticking JDM until after we have extended the house, stopped having kids and my wife is working full time again!

I think there may be an EV in our future though, using the BR9 as a commuter is not the most cost effective thing to do!

  2. Wife just called to let me know that a) we need a new tire for the BPE as she drove into the kurb and b) there was an inch or so of water under the spare and the jack etc...are rusting.

Any tips on where to look for leaks? seen a few threads on here (not for BPs) saying to check the gaskets for the tail lights and the seal around the boot door.

    For tuner go PBMS

Yeah grab a 3-port for quicker spool and A more consistent boost curve. Small cost for the gain they give.

Skip intake, can remove the resonator bottle on the bottom of the stock intake for more noise and supposedly better spool.

Downpipe and 3-port really are the go-to’s for cheap-ish mods before a first time tune that’ll give you the best bang for your buck.

Do ppl get a 3 port for turbo BR/BMs as well?

Thanks guys, a Subaru dealer here has quoted me $120 to reset the gearbox settings.

Does anyone on this forum have the tools for a bit of a saving?

Make sure the dealer is "updating the PAK file"  and not just resetting the TCU. Anybody can reset the TCU with a $15 VAG-COM cable, whereas only dealers can update the software.

Definitely reset the TCU first and see if that helps.

I want all of these. The 1-2 low speed shift is F***ing horrible sometimes, especially when the car is cold.

Hmm, I had my PAK file updated and I think I still get this (though it's my wife's car now so can't really remember!)...though I keep getting rear wheel speed sensor code, which apparently can cause rough shifting.
