  1. I understand, I've read all about intakes and needing tunes. K&N website says tune isn't required but you should still tune. With the latest generation ECU's they can tell your top speed, revs, g forces etc. When I took my CVT WRX in to claim warranty on the transmission blowing up they sent a image of the ECU to Subaru Japan, they sent back my top speed of 240kmh and max revs of the vehicle's redline. They also made note that my car had semislick tire's (Same as the ones I have on my STi) and voided warranty because Subaru Japan determined that I tracked the vehicle. 2. Nah not tuning for it to keep warranty, the car isn't running any different, pops and bangs just as much as before and goes as good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Installed K&N Typhoon intake, $400NZD inc shipping out of the States rather than $700 from an NZ outfit
  4. I had that issue, could only see one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Couldn't find them on mobile but I've ordered now [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Sweet awesome, cheers! Ordered one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I hit driveways on a angle and still scrape. Also end up on 2-3 wheels and the traction control has a fit... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Mine does and so do my friend's [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It looks cool is what it does Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. If any of you 2014/2015+ guys wanna join a fb group... https://www.facebook.com/groups/1326925014058748/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Nah haha $16 gives full foam and spray then wax and dry, much easier. Then get a detail job done every 2-3 months and stay ontop of the carwash and wax Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Car wash smacks mine into the bumper but hey, a respray is only $350 and when I launch it flops out from the g's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Nah haven't tracked it - Yet. It's purely for looks. The rear is boring without something to break it up like the tow hook. Plus starts heaps of conversations like "what's this for?" "Does it break down often" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The tow eye cost me like $10 off of aliexpress, anyone can nick away [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I haven't come close to crashing it once, I had a 2010 Legacy GT that was tuned and much quicker than my STi. Will enquire with classic cover. Dad just said he'd rather see me enjoy his money than me enjoy it after he's passed lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My STi per year through NAC was gonna be $4,700. And it is registered under my mum's name Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I was gonna jump on board NAC for $94 a week but my parents told me to leave the car stock and stay with their insurance. They bought the car for me so I'm pretty bound to what they say goes. Was a surprise as well but I don't think they realised how hard it was gonna be to get insurance for a brand new 60k STi with 17 year old driver [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Bayswater told me as long as it's after the cat they're not fussed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm listed as a driver, and cat back exhaust doesn't effect warranty. Blow off valve is questionable. Otherwise rest is stock Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Haha um mum was calling our broker tomorrow regarding that [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm only paying about 600 a year with my car under mum's name and me as a driver but insurance is against it being modified past a point where it effects the car's driving. I've gotten quotes from a bunch of other companies and it's gonna work out to be about 4-5k a year/$90-$100 a week for full cover, which compared to 600 isn't worth it just so I can have adjusties... 20. Found out from my insurance company they don't want to cover me if I change my suspension, even with a certification. So I'm gonna have to leave suspension stock ;-; It's hard getting insurance at 18 for anything [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. My OLM vortex generator from Subispeed and rear underspoiler from street element. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Is there a exhaust clip thread in these forums? This is what my resonator delete and muffler delete STi sounds like https://www.facebook.com/groups/theworldisfl4t/permalink/1556331871064094/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Going to pull the trigger on some Tein Flex Street adjustable coilovers for my STi shortly, also debating wether to get this private plate or not... Only issue I have with private plates is that they're easy to remember.
  24. Following running my airbox without the front and loving the sound of the turbo spooling I went ahead and ordered some sort of air filter thingy for my 2016 STi, cost a pretty penny ($380) and am yet to pay for shipping from the US (Using NZ Post's YouPost) but I'll post photos once installed. Photo posted now is one of the intake installed fron Google Images. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I took the rear bumper off and installed a funny looking piece of plastic that sits under the rear of the car. Nice little $200 mod. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
