The car was running completely fine before this failed DP install so might have knocked something or moved something. in other news.. does anyone have the nut that goes on the the turbo - downpipe bolt?

Hey Guys! Long time no post, haven't been in the Subaru game since I sold my Legacy (mega regret) So my mate has a WRX V6. He bought a downpipe from TM and we went to fit it a couple of weekends ago. While we were at it, replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets and also the turbo-downpipe gasket. New downpipe was installed, but didn't line up with the mid pipe at all so a dud. Long story short, went back to factory downpipe (with new gasket) and bolted everything back up. When driving, changing from 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 clutch is pushed in, but revs would keep revving higher (as if the accel pedal was in, but it wasn't) O2 sensor on factory DP hooked back up, downpipe - midpipe all snug and fitted. Could it be that 1 nut from the turbo-downpipe is mysteriously missing? Is this a common issue? or something to do with mis-bolting something back up? or that 1 nut that mysteriously went missing so 4/5 is attached from TB-DP?

Hey all, Am looking at buying a car, but I am not the most knowledgeable in all aspects of a car and would like a second more professional opinion other than my mate saying "yep she'll be right" Apart from VTNZ has anyone used or recommends another place to organise? Am currently driving an 06 Legacy GT (for sale) so I think i'm still allowed to ask this question here (even though the car I'm looking at isn't a flat4)

if i didn't go down the route of blocking off, has anyone had this fixed by a workshop? I'm not one to shy away from a challenge, but seems if i get it wrong then it might stuff things up? My car 06 Legacy GT just threw this code couple of days ago

@ADIKT agreed, it's quite intermittent at the stage, is the Legacy 4th gen OBD2A or OBD2B ? anyone got one i can borrow? beers back at you for lending out

Update*** This morning from cold start it did the same thing, S mode light on dash flashing. This time though it only stayed on for a couple of minutes. a friend suggested it could be coolant levels? but if that were the case it would be show the temperature dash light and would be constantly on?

Hey Guys Bit a broad question, but this morning when i went to go and start the car i had a CEL and the S (sports mode) on the dash was blinking I know without running a diagnosis it's hard to say, but anyone come across this? after say 10 mins and the cold engine light went off, the CEL went off too. I did another cold start just now and no CEL or blinking drive mode. When starting the car, turn the key once, wait for the gauges to sweep and then turn key again.

im on 215/45/18 all round and run on 38psi also. Maybe a little harsher ride, but i'd rather roll further and use less gas , since fuel tax is coming

On the weekend i bought a zero/sports radiator shroud and intake pipe. Nice little touch to the engine bay, looks nice

Hi Guys, so i HAD a lip that got smacked and snapped by a massive puddle a while back when it was pouring in Auckland. it seems bloody hard to find one for the facelift model, apart from overseas and they are at least $500 + anyone got one for sale or trade? i bought one from a guy, but turns out its not for the facelift bumper which i have, are there other options from different makers? or would i be looking at getting a whole new front bumper

Well just my luck! while under the car the other weekend, looking round and shock horror CV boot is split on drivers side car is a BP5 GTB FL is it a big job to change just the boot ie boot + re greasing or what ever or is it worth to change the whole CV? and are all cv boots for subaru bp5 the same? please advise flat 4 wisdom'd people

@csrgm1915 I've got an 06 legacy BP and currently running on Tein street super .. somethings .. coilovers basically but the basic with just the height adjustment. they dropped mine about 2.5cm ish. left is after - right is before (not sure why they are this way round LOL)

Hey waddup guys ! So I had a question about the fog lamps on my 06 legacy GT spec B post facelift. Basically i was washing the car today and noticed my left fog lamp glass and been shattered. Replacement wise, do i have to get the whole lamp unit? and is it the same size as for all bp5's? Cheers
