  3. They just drone and sound bad. Raspy would be okay.
  4. It's the RIGHT hander onto the back straight. You can be pulling lots of Gs for what feels like a long time and with a lot of throttle and high revs... try not to do that Killed my motor even with a good sump as lot's of oil poured out of the head breather into the catch can.
  5. Put half a litre extra oil in... don't drive hard around Higgins corner... and in fact just try and cruise round it... and you hopefully will be fine. Check the oil level before every track session as well as it can pour out of the left hand head breather.
  6. If the forced air is going directly into the air filter box, then yes it's a good idea. If the forced air is just going into the space behind the guard, then I can't see it being that effective... better than not I suppose.
  7. Not saying you are wrong... but what are you basing that on?
  8. The engine and gearbox mounts allow a lot of movement... try removing a spark plug lead or two when the engine is running to confirm
  9. An all nighter should at least pay for a tune I reckon... as long as the bracing issues can be over come.

  12. Definitely... the sky is the limit when it comes to spending money on practically any motorsport related item. When I finally break into F1 or WRC (I'm undecided, but talented enough to do either), I won't be paying for any of it
  13. Just bought two Alpinestars packages (2 layer suits, gloves and boots) for myself and daughter... cool to have, but it does major damage to your wallet.
  14. true, they are usually making low power because they are so pig rich... never lean.
  15. My money is on you not finding anything wrong. How does it feel on the road.... much better than before?
  16. 190 to 200 is all I could ever get out of a vf turbo. Maybe bringing the boost down will help with the det... seems very high for a vf and a tmic.
  17. Try Diesel and Turbo, Llama, Unleashed, Road and Track... Subaru, Toyota? Or just use gasket paper as a temporary measure to get the car back.

His style is annoying, (mannerisms aside) the thing to remember is that he is making the videos for his HP Academy website, which is the for the purpose of teaching less knowledgable people stuff about how to make fast cars... so he provides a lot of context around his questions so as to not lose his intended audience. Possibly it would be better to edit in the extra context and not annoy and waste the time of the person he his interviewing. In some of his videos he both asks questions and answers them at the same time, and leaves the poor person he is interviewing with nothing useful to add. That car though, F***en amazing... and Andy Forrest is one clued up cookie.
  22. I have them on a BP5 and a WRX... they are more than enough for the BP5... and fine for the WRX if you drive thoughtfully, i.e. don't expect miracles from them.
