  1. Clip that hold the the front piece of the airbox like in this pic https://gyazo.com/8114f0dfe3eb7f5cbd1bb7023efafc6d
  2. Yeah the filters held in by two screws at the top which isn’t all too flash. Unfortunately there’s no clips for the box.. If you’re okay with shipping I’d be happy to pay for it. May as well try it.
  3. I have the other (very filthy) part of the air box here
  4. Hmm unsure now. Doesn’t help that I don’t know what the factory assembly looks like
  5. Luckily I still have the box but just not the other part that that sit at the front and feeds cold air in. All good stuff to try. Thanks man.
  6. Now that i've seen what a brand new one looks like - it sure has.
  7. Aight this ones proving a little difficult for me and it's gonna be even harder to explain. 07 S-GT ej20 single turbo blah blah. The cars a good wee thing but sometimes I find it has a bit of a rough sort of 'skip' or hesitation. For example, down shift and decelerating the car and sort of jerk a little bit and same thing when applying more throttle. It's not very consistent though so some days it will do it, some days it won't. Idle fluctuates a little bit but it sits around the RPMs you'd expect when the engine is cold or at operating temps. So far I have changed my spark plugs (were due anyway) and cleaned the MAF sensor. One suspicion I have is my sort of bundy intake side (just half the airbox + filter) as pictured. Whether this could be a culprit I have noooo clue. Other than this, the car seems to drive fine. Boosts fine, accelerates as it should. I thought of cleaning the throttle body to see if that would make a difference. Anyone else have any ideas/experience with this kinda issue? The car is great but I feel like it could be running a bit better...
  8. Always a nice feeling to have eh! Thanks everyone else for your help too.
  9. Idle is back to normal now. Thankfully. Just me assuming the worst straight away with my sub-par amateur mechanic skills 😂
  10. Issue wasn’t present before changing the plugs. Hopefully I haven’t accidentally damaged one or something during the spark plugs changing process
  11. Honestly driven only 20km, if that. Didn’t even think of that haha.
  12. Installed a set of new NGK iridium plugs in my SGT yesterday. Upon test driving, the car runs and drives fine, but now when coming to a stop at an intersection per say, my revs drop to about 300 RPM and it feels like the car badly wants to stall. Does this for a few seconds before going back to normal idle. Does the same for a few second when starting to the car before moving back up to normal idle RPMs. I havent yet yet gone over to see what may be the issue because I thought I’d jump on here and see if somebody knew this as a common fault. Was my first time ever doing spark plugs sooo I may have missed something when reassembling 😅
  13. Forgot to ask, if you got piping the same size as the factory, would you still need a retune? Otherwise I think i'll just try source the factory assembly to install
  14. Aha yeah i've heard the factory one is great but the issue being i don't exactly have every piece for the factory intake haha
  15. As per my image below, this is currently how my air intake is set up. Last owner took off half of the factory filter box and lost the intake feed that bolts to the front underneath the bonnet. Yes it sounds good but surely it's not that great in terms of efficiency? Is my best option here just to get a cold air intake? If so, recommendations for any? Also what the go with the MAF sensor when installing an aftermarket intake? I'm guessing some after market piping that accomodates the MAF sensor is needed too. Excuse the million questions haha. 07 Impreza S-GT EJ20
  16. Hmm low key really feeling like it'll end up being a nightmare but ehhhh may as well have a go
  17. Looking to save myself a bit of money (not time obviously) and potentially do the Spark plugs myself on my 07 S-GT (EJ20). Also a good chance to learn something new. I've watched a few videos of them getting done on a WRX STI's which I assume is very similar? I know this is going to a take a lot longer than doing a normal inline 4 engine or something, but is it really that difficult? Any tips or pointers to make life a bit easier when doing them? Do I need spark plug anti seize? I'll be putting in a set of NGK IR plugs. Any help appreciated.
  18. Fujiwara Tofu Shop sticker because y'know.. +5HP from one of these obviously
  19. Same here. Gonna burn off the remaining 95 in my tank and then top it up with some 100. Worked out it only costs an extra $7 for me to fill the S-GT with 100 compared to filling it with 95. NPD outline these benefits: https://gyazo.com/49b9bd9c041226a48ac90f6cd86b1bde
  20. One benefit of living down south haha. My friends snapped me a pic of petrol prices in Wanaka last week and it made me want to cry
  21. Now available in Invercargill! At $2.47 a litre seems like great value since the next best thing we can get here is 95. Is this worth/safe to put in my 07 S-GT Impreza? NPD outline several benefits of running it in your vehicle.
  22. (This week) My bumper and bonnet has had its stitches removed. Realigned and resprayed etc etc. Looks fantastic! Also chucked on an 'Ez lip' and for $60 bucks i'm actually really pleased with how it looks. Also slapped on a set of SSR Type F's in white. Unfortunately after driving on them for 1 minute, I got about 1 km up my road and hit a huge F*** off pothole that bent one of the wheels. If that's not bad luck then I don't know what is. Soooooo now that poor wheel is at the shop getting fixed
