  4. auto immobilise , but no biggie if it cant be done , will get hold of installer services for turbo timer and chat with them , 10 seconds is too long according to motorsport nz regs it must turn off everything completely from one source either ignition or a kill switch
  5. hi Brad , I need to turn off the turbo timer function on my avs alarm for race requirements and am happy to leave it off , I would also like to turn off the auto arming function is this a DIY option or do I need to see an expert ? 7. 1996 gc8 running 205/50/15 r888 a few good reasons smaller diameter , lighter , cheaper ........... to be honnest mostly the cheaper paid $300 for six second hand with 3plus mm tread , downside is wont clear big brakes
  8. sorry guys , speaking as a licenced msnz scrutineer your car should turn off imediately with ignition or kill switch , I am sure many of you will have been slipping through as its not commonly checked , I will look into getting mine wired through the handbrake so turbotimer only operates with handbrake on cause that seems the smartest compromise , any idea who the best guy in auckland is for avs work ?
  9. am guessing it all depends who wires them in , will test mine and report back
  10. post was aimed at people not happy with their set up , always go with what works for you , port road is fun through those buildings and alleys aint it
  11. 40 = good grip , evens out wear , only applies to road tyres not road legal semi-slicks which you would of course be running lower and be a bit more scientific about pressure change and temperatures etc
  12. most road tyres like 40psi cold (try it , I didnt believe it either) , also expensive gear oil saves gearboxes , also watch this space for good deals on 2 layer overalls (less than $400 , will post in for sale section when I confirm details)
