  1. I haven't put any additives or s*** in it. Yeah I would agree a some what stuck open valve, is this a common problem?
  2. Hello all, so I changed my oil the other day, just like I always have with the same 5W30. It drove around 250kms with no problems. Went to start it today, it cranked over as per usual and just about started then it seemed to loose compression. If you cranked it over it turned over quickly (no usual slow Subaru labouring) and maybe was half firing here or there. I let it sit for a couple of minutes then tried again and just kept cranking it over, eventually it started a bit lumpy then seemed to idle smooth with a distinctive clicking that increased with rev's. Almost like incorrectly set clearances on rocker arms in old cars. After about 10 seconds the noise went away and the car starts and sounds fine. What do you think could have caused it? Its a 2007 s-gt with 94k on the clock, I did one of the sub de-carbs at about 83k. Also I can only run it on 95 as that is what we get here. Any help would be great, kind of need the car to be reliable for the wife and kid, thanks.
