  1. I've been insured with CLIC (a division of AMI) since I bought my car around October 2009. I had no complaints about these guys, until I called them yesterday to find out what the deal with test drivers is, as I'm thinking of selling my car. They will not insure any test drivers, regardless of age, end of story. Is this typical of insurance companies that you guys are insured with?
  2. My bad if this is a common repost. Thanks for your help JoKer, much appreciated.
  3. Nice man, thanks. Any idea how much a standard 17" WRX rim weighs? I'm at work and wheel is at home + I'm shiet at estimating weights. Just trying to suss an approximate cost...
  4. Any advice on the best way to ship a rim from Auckland to Tauranga?
  5. smith and smith repair, smith and smith replace.
  6. Can somebody please hook me up with the Navigation disc for a 2003 Legacy GT?
  7. My mate just bought a 2003 Legacy GT Wagon, but the navigation system is all in Japanese. There is a "Subaru Navigation System" CD/DVD ROM in the glove box, so I am assuming you can upgrade the firmware. Does anybody know where I can download an ISO for English with New Zealand maps?
  8. Oh crap, I've got a v7 WRX, but haven't taken it out lately. Will be keeping an eye on this...
  9. wtf, so I can say 'crap' but not cock or pussy?
  10. I thought pods were crap because just just suck in hot air from the engine bay?
  11. Yeah and do away with your friends, they weigh heaps more than an empty seat
  12. haha, do you make sure you always take a shit before you go for a drive as well? Jeepers.
  13. Just found this thread coz somebody at work was talking about injector cleaners... How often should you run injector cleaner through your engine?
  14. Na I put 91 in the daily driver, but 98 in my sooby. Nice to know... my flat mate is a 98 nazi - never even puts 95 in his car, but he puts a lot of gas in a time which will last him weeks. Will have to inform him tonight. I'll def be putting in less amounts more frequently from now too
  15. So the RON actually drops when its sitting in your tank? I usually put like $60 98 in at a time, which will last me a few weeks coz I have a daily driver. Is this not a good practice?
  16. he works for subaru ;-) ahhhh ;D I've only had my sooby since 80,000km so took it to my local garage for a 10,000km service. Is it a good idea to take it to regular old garages for services, or should I take it to sooby experts? I've only done ~3000km since I bought it, but particularly interested in the 90,000km service and the dreaded 100,000km service ??? ;D
  17. My bad, 10000km service they should do a lot more. I.e. check brakes, belts, spark plugs, advise of any further work required etc, etc. So yeah, how much did they charge?
  18. For a 10,000km service you'd only really expect oil change, new oil filter and top up of all other fluids... How much did they charge you?
  19. All good. AFAIK, v8 are basically the same as v7 but have that circular piece in red brake bit. v9 have the red brake bit on the top, and the clear on the bottom.
  20. v8 rear lights for sure. [quote name='jake_the_muss said: I hate the chromies mmm, not to derail the thread, but those wheels are hideous. Bummer on the stolen-ness though Unfortunately I can't be of any assistance coz I live in Auckland, so will see my way out now Good luck on getting it back anyway
  21. I heard the standard turbos in v7 wrx's are actually pretty dece..? What sort of performance increase would you get with vf22?
