I've recently got my 2nd Sub and want to take better care of this beast. Originally had a 94 Legacy Brighton 2.2 for 15yrs which got neglected and virtually no power at 220k and sold. Now have a 2012 (MY13) Legacy 3.6R X premium sedan with 219k. Looking for its forever-mechanic to keep it running as long as it can (because its a stack of fun grunt!). Got it new rotors and pcv valve at my closest mechanic, and came home with a buggered up pcv hose and broken engine cover clips. I've not heard good things about Armstrongs in the Hutt either - am I wrong? I'm looking for a knowledgeable subaru mechanic that cares! Anyone got suggestions on the top things to look for at these kms on the 3.6L? Right now it's running nicely, maybe a little shuddery sometimes but it clearly isn't liking the short trip to/from work everyday. No leaks, heaps of power, not chewing through any fluids - but I don't like surprises 😉
