  1. Havent been on in a while ( since i came back from aus) I\'m building up a type R Sti I fitted a twisted turbo setup With a T3/T4 setup and 44mm wastegate tuned length headers and walbro fuel pump. I am stuck on the fuel side of things, would factory injectors(yellow) be enough to handle things or would a split fuel rail system be more on par? I dont work on it often( stuck in the shed) I have a mallory FPR with bigger fuel rails and bigger injectors sitting around but I am stuck on installing this is there a simple way of installing this setup? I only work on it every other weekend so I am in no rush Cheers So I\'m asking what would be the best fuel setup for this be?
  2. Just use A LOT of WD-40 for those turbo bolts, Previous guy rounded the s**t out of the bolts when I fitted my down pipe, ended up heating them up with gas and use vice grips to pull them out, pain in the arse.
  3. I don\'t like it but it doesn\'t bother me i have a C west kit at home waiting to go on. Plus that lower part was scratched up pretty bad from someone muffler backing into it.
  4. Was when it was nearly finished just put on grill properly and bolt up other side of bumper.
  5. All done and dusted:) I actually started yesterday but happy with end results, kinda want to get a c west front bumper now lol. I\'ll put a photo up of it on here .
  6. Cheers Guys cant wait to get stuck into it.. Wish I could just take the week off and just do it tomorrow but oh well lol. yeah it has a bov hose adapter I just don\'t like where Its located lol. also whats best to use to trim bumper? I have a angle grinder( small one ) I just don\'t want it to look uneven.
  7. Ive seen someone pull off a guard I think the right hand side to modify the area by the air filter. But I could be wrong.
  8. I know its been talked about a lot and I\'m not here to add my 5 cents to say if its good or not. I brought me front mount intercooler for my little weekend project, My car is a 1994 WRX and i have got hold of a V3 piping kit. What would I need to look out for in advance?. Cheers
  9. Try your crank angle sensor or even crank pulley( check if the teeth that the crank sensors are not worn down., If not try your cam sensor.
  10. too lazy to look through pics on my phone. Have just face lifted the rear(arselift) lol. Front is in progress. but yeah what it looks like now.
  11. Did one coil pack die? Another coil pack may have buggered out as well. When I was having problems with my wrx I changed nearly everything else. Turned out I had the wrong plugs. I also changed to a Blue Afm, seemed to help a lot as well.
  12. Its my project Wrx I dont drive it daily. Its going to be more of a Hampton downs skid pan kind of a car lol. Sometimes hit the track.
  13. I got given a t3/t4 turbo as a gift. It was suppose to go on a rb26 but my mate ended up going down another route. Anyway has anyone ran one of these on their Suby? i know it would be pretty laggy. I got a td05 currently in mine and that\'s pretty laggy (the equal length header doesn\'t help with low down power). should I run this turbo or just keep mine as is( so i dont blow it up haha). I know i would need supporting mods to run it, just seeing if its worth it.
  14. Sounds silly but when the tank was replaced was it bleed properly? you still could have a pocket of air forcing the water out of the overflow which would cause your loss of water. Remember to go buy the marks of the overflow bottle and not just to fill it right to the top as the pressure would just force it out anyway.
  15. Yeah they should be able to fit. Yeah if its the 4wd model you can convert to rwd , but best bet is to leave it. The non turbo gearbox\'s aren\'t too strong. But there\'s heaps of info on here about pro\'s and cons(although there is not many pro\'s) Well just make sure the car is in good shape( no oil leaks, regular service history and rust)
  16. The one from luxury sports. although they both should do the same job as the resonator in the middle looks similar to the other exhaust.
  17. These don\'t sound too bad, they give a nice rumble not over the top loud I did one on me mates wrx. If you\'re after loud get the full system with the down pipe. the factory down pipe has a big ol\' cat restricting it.
  18. Definitely Bruce Tannock in his s13 were going hard all day. Pressure mustve got to him in the end. Nico reid performance was good aswell too bad he had that slip up at the end.
  19. I went pretty good day despite the ridiculously long food bar lines lol. Mad Mikes Rx8 was awesome , Highlight was Carl Ruiterman in his wrx blasting around the track sideways(sounded sick)
  20. 65 mm? That\'s quite low. I have super lows in my wrx and legacy and it dropped it maybe 45mm at the most. Just hunt on trademe if you\'re after cheapies, Maybe try good ol\'pick a part(i managed to score a 3inch cat back for my legacy there lol.) My legacy springs are up for sale not sure if there low enough for you though:)
  21. This might sound funny but my rex was doing that except it was the left indicator that was blinking fast . I checked all my earthing points, cleaned and sanded where the bulb sits still to no avail, until I noticed in a mirror when reversing my reverse bulbs was out. Changed that and now my indicators work fine lol.
  22. Hey just wondering where you take your guys car to get exhaust stuff to be welded. I have an external i want to be welded on to my stainless headers. Im in the Auckland area as well. cheers
  23. Hmm try changing the plugs, i changed nearly other sensor on mine when it was running crap turned out i had the wrong plugs in mine. Changed them and now it runs sweet.
  24. Car is running sweet now, I guess i had the wrong plugs haha also the cam sensor had popped out a bit which i just noticed, bolted her up and shes sweet:)
  25. At my workshop we just give it a few cranks then start for about maybe 30 seconds then turn off check oil levels, fill to required level then turn on and keep an eye on water levels(remember to bleed the water) check for leaks etc etc. try bleeding the slave mine did that with my engine swap just bleed the slave and adjusted the clutch pedal and now shes good as gold.
