  1. I prefer Macbilt personally, I went to Hartley the other year and it was extremely difficult to explain a few things to them As above though, they play with racecars mainly, but they look after my road cars
  2. Don't bother spending too much, the monitored ones like AVS are a joke I had one of these and it was decent enough https://www.trademe.co.nz/1830455004
  3. If that F***in thing goes single turbo before the STI is done, you're selling me the STI chassis CHEAP
  4. Staying with Dairusire at his bach in Whitianga, not sure whether or not to take the RA-R or the Gravel Express. I suppose if I bring the RA-R, we can sneakily go and park the 203 and RA-R in front of the subaru tent like I did to them earlier this year, i assume subaru will be going again
  5. It's the steel Y pipe underneath that actually makes the performance difference, the plastic ones tend to collapse and not hold boost as well. Swap that over and you're good to go
  6. Dayuuuuuuum. Some ones needs to dyno that S*** asap, need some real world results for us north island peasents
  7. Spray cans are trash, but go to your local spray shop and they can generally colour match. May as well ask for a free quote while your at it. If you want to DIY, remember that most of the work is in preparation. Chromey colours are C***y and will show any and all imperfections
  8. Contact the guys at SAS and see if they can do an inspection. It's probably just round the corner from them
  9. It's in the thread linked above Its just a VF at the end of the day though
  10. Yes, i just started a thread for car covers.. Garage Queen is getting dusty. Anyone have any experiences/recommendations on decent car covers? Subaru NZ has some for around $270 ish, just want to see if theres anything better for the $
  11. SAS managed to pump out 270kw+ on a V9 VF37 on E85 Baby eating holsets are always fun though
  12. Subaru NZ didnt even know about my RA-R, let alone a levorg doing them race car things lolol This also explains why STI japan took down the original RAR site about 6 months ago Needs more roof vent though! I bet within the next few months ill have many internet battles with americans about the legitimacy of my one now hahahaha
  13. Dairusire has (can't tag), before it gingered out and imploded. It'll be much the same really, few hundred RPM less, Avcs just feels smoother
  14. Nope, basically how it stared was I emailed them about both recalls, but they only acknowledged the air bag, so I contacted them through Facebook and was basically like, are sti gonna come to the party on one of their flag ship cars, or am I just gonna burn to death when the fuel lines catches fire.. They contacted STI japan, and after a few weeks got back in contact with me confirming they had come to the party. They had no idea what the inlet recall was for as they've never seen a car like this before, even comparing it to the 5 S204 we got NZ New, they still didn't fully understand. It even came with a 10 page instruction manual complete with photos for the inlet pipe, they didn't let me keep it But ah well, it's done now. Happy man is happy
  15. Forgot to update, RA-R dropped off early may at 3pm in the afternoon, both the airbag and in inlet pipe were done by 12 pm the next day, no rattles. I was pretty happy tbh, they still had no idea what the car was though
  16. Tickets go on sale in August
  17. Heres a pre meet I think a few of us are going too, I assume they want to go over the Rumitakas at the moment https://www.facebook.com/events/260550044491340/?ti=as
  18. Gravel express will hopefully be caning everyone on the track, RA-R may or may not be there. Might have some free accommodation depending on if the other CS lads are staying at mine or not
  19. Any keen to use get the Subuk out for a day and take over the Tui Brewery day? We're looking forward to seeing lots of Japanese cars at Tui Brewery on Sunday 24th June!
